Just a quick question - would you eat creme eggs/Lindor mini eggs/Cadb.'s mini eggs with best before date 07/2010?

I'd probably use all apart from the creme eggs. What do you think? Found them in the great DR of Doom decluttering. :o I normally know about ANY chocolate reserves in the house...

Yes, I'd eat them but take my time, just in case there was the remote possibility they were off:D

Hi everyone sorry I didn't get back on yesterday but another one running round like a mad head.

    Dippy and Triker well done!
Dusty birds have been getting the spare bread but the naughty dog keeps eating it, I must get a table next year
Greenbee pleased he's on his way, safe journey to him
Mrs Chaos many happy returns of the day :)

Nattyt try Milton/shops own sterilising fluid for both the sink and fridge - my never fails to remove smells cleaner! I've been putting a little dishwasher salt in the bottom of the sink under the bowl at all times to reduce the risk of freezing

Mam has decided to be brave and try to get home after work tonight, so that'll be easier. It was a nasty blizzard on the way to and from taking her to work so think she was pleased to not have to drive as I took her both ways. She has a 'pretendy' 4x4 suzuki which is pretty useless in the snow, even DP said that when he went to recover it, taught her how to use low ratio gearing on it today so maybe a little better for her in the deep stuff.

DP being completely bonkers went to work last night and even more stupidly walked home at 2am in -10c temperatures with his daft little coat on, he was told to call me, I'd stayed awake to get him and Mam was here to watch the boys so I will scream at him later! I don't know what I worry more about, him being at work or no money!

Anyway yesterday was busy, including a total clean out of the turtle tank when they smashed their filter. They are so naughty! I didn't get through all the list, but I did manage some shopping for us and others when I picked Mam up. This morning I've done a bit, more laundry and DW empty then refilled but I'm now being lazy and sat wrapped in a fleece blanket brrrrr! I've kept DS2 off as only a few teachers will be in, Monday when it was the same they did PE and played - I can do more at home, much to his disgust! DS1s school not far from his remains closed.

So today, well I need to finish yesterdays lists!

((hugs)) to you all xxx stay warm, stay safe xxx
One day I might be more organised...........

Good morning all. I wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone on the thread as I feel that it's really helped me keep going this week. My house is looking much tidier and I seem to be getting tasks done that have been looming over me for a while.

I have now finished 2 rooms entirely and hope to get a couple more finished off today. I have a long to-do of other bits today too. I seem to have gotten started with lots of tasks this week then I've gotten very easily distracted ...

    MrsChaos - HAPPY BIRTHDAY :D

I should really get a move on. First job is tackling DDs hair, its horrible but I've found the detangling spray so will be using copious amounts of it. So if you hear screaming from the Liverpool area its okay, its just DD's reaction to me brushing/combing her hair :rotfl:Also insisting she gets dressed today as she appears to be feeling better. Less coughing last night and not as snotty or rattly today just exhausted :)

    Friday To-Do

OH has dropped off the hire car. He did get stuck once, and was hauled up a hill by someone with a 4x4 and tow rope. He hasn't managed to go home and get more clothes, but he's on a train and will go and pick up my car :j I've just called the garage who are fitting a new battery (it wouldn't start this morning apparently) and texted him to warn him that the bill will be a big one, due to that, new fronts pads & discs, brake fluid and a few other bits as well as the service... I'll have to pay him back as soon as he gets in :o

Anyway, I've opened the windows to let some (cold) air in, and done a bit of housework... cleaned the hob, loaded the DW, done the washing up that needed doing by hand, and given the hall a thorough clean. I'm halfway through doing the downstairs loo... hoovered and dusted, so just the scrubbing to do. Then I'll wash the floors and go upstairs to shower and change :)

Loo thoroughly scrubbed. Downstairs floors washed. Just need to clean myself up and then get on with sorting some lunch.

We have a work trip to Edinburgh on Monday. Plan was to fly Southampton-Edinburgh on Sunday night, stay in Edinburgh Sun/Mon/Tues and head off to Loch Lomond Wed/Thurs/Fri. Can those of you who are in Scotland let me know whether this is still a good idea?

Need to check trains to Edinburgh for the work bit at least...

I spent ages yesterday buying pressies online and writing Xmas cards. It felt like I got nothing meaningful done but at least they're not tasks that will keep hanging over me through December. I still need to get 3 addresses from my MIL for DHs side of the family and when we pop to the supermarket i need to grab a bottle of port and a bottle of wine but i feel pretty organised!
I am trying to keep going with the lists too but not going to post my lack of progress as it'll only depress me! We have 4 loos/bathrooms so I have done 2 of them and will do the other 2 after I have made lunch.

    Afternoon all

It's lovely and sunny but very cold.

I've got some washing draped round. I've made a victoria sandwich and a bread pudding, and there's a cottage pie waiting to be put in the oven in about 10 minutes.

Then I dusted and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Hope everyone's OK, I haven't caught up yet. My fingers are so cold I keep typing this wrong and having to go back!

Happy Birthday Mrs C :) :bdaycake:
