Thanks. Was thinking about making choc cornflake buns with some of it - wonder what they'd be like if I stuck the creme eggs in. Can feel an experiment coming on. :D
  • Hi All, Still catching up with Fred, but have decided I need to do some Serious catching up on the lists this morning, so will reward myself with reading later if I get it all done. Also need to visit the bank this afternoon to pay in some Bday moular ( didn't get it done on Weds), & the library to use 'word' on their machines as the trial on mine has expired & I need to edit my CV & get it sent out.

Hope everyone is OK, hugs, spoons & sticks are here in a pile, pick whichever you want/need! Catchya all later! x

Evening, firstly huge hugs for Greenbee, I know you want you OH to wrap his arms around you but you'll just have to put up with our huggles for the mo. xx
Thanks. It has helped hugely... OH is now on his way home... although he decided to go on an A road rather than the motorway and it isn't as clear as he thought it would be... (funny that)... he's driving a tiny hire car, and I'm trying to reassure him that there are benefits as it's light, so can go over snow, and has no back end to go round :p. However, 4x4s sitting on his tail isn't really helping. Its the same road that he had his accident on about 6 weeks ago. He's going to go home, pick up more warm clothes, drop off the hire car, get the train to where my car is and collect that before driving over. So hopefully he'll be here by lunchtime... I guess I should get dressed and get some cleaning done and maybe some lunch made before he gets here.

Well today I spoke to my Dad and insisted as did hubby that he turn his heating up as we'll pay his heating bills. We're also getting a tesco shop in for him, he has chronic MS, is fiercely independent and lives many miles away. He was qute happy so all is good.

Also had to bluddy rescue DD1 as all hull bus's were cancelled at 7ish, the bus station was shut and a hell of a lot of people were stranded. I transported DD1 plus 2 friends back to theirs after the help of mu hubby, some random stranger and DD2 digging and pushing my car out of the snow. I also transported a single lady who was trudging through the snow and two students who were struggling up the road...figured if we all pitched in to help those stranded...it may be a better world.

Other than that, not achieved too much.
That's a HUGE achievement, and if only there were more people in the world like you and dippypud it would be a better place

Greenbee - Your in my thoughts hun, I hope your OH gets back as soon as he is able to and in one piece. I would be so frustrated in the same situation and tbh I think with all things considered your dealing with it well. I hope the tests give you the answer which is right for you both at this time, I am sure whatever happens it will be just fine.

I am not a religious person as such but I believe that out higher power/god/whatever will never send us more than we are capable of dealing with.
Thanks... Hopefully OH will see it that way. He does understand that I find it difficult when he sees his ex, but doesn't quite see why as he doesn't have a problem with it... I guess I've got a lot to learn about men, having managed without one for so long!

Just a quick question - would you eat creme eggs/Lindor mini eggs/Cadb.'s mini eggs with best before date 07/2010?

I'd probably use all apart from the creme eggs. What do you think? Found them in the great DR of Doom decluttering. :o I normally know about ANY chocolate reserves in the house...
Yes, of course :D... well not right now... chocolate isn't working like it normally does :(

Morning all.Well so far today i have managed to clean a drain (!?!), swear at my fridge (think something wrong with it as it stinks like dog food! I do not have a dog! Have cleaned it numerous times and this smell keeps coming back?) and have hot chocolate with my friend!! Going to complete the lists and then do some ironing and baking. Also going to wrap pressies and do cards. When the [STRIKE]brats[/STRIKE] angels are in bed i'll be having a lovely soak in the bath! xxx

About to swap dressing gown for clothes (must remember to shout DS1) and attack the DR table. I may be some time!

All beds stripped and first load in wm. My sister has called up today but car won't get up the lane so is parked at the bottom. Binmen are due today and i've heard they are gritting the road in places to get to us, so one bin down don't really fancy my chances of dragging both back up if it isn't emptied. ;)

Greenbee great news your oh is getting back.

Mrs Chaos Happy Birthday:bdaycake:, it's hubby's birthday today too and i must admit i forgot (only cause he's already got his pressies).:o

Right better get the fire lit.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
