Back hall now all tidy and Bo is lying happy in there. The floor still needs a good mop but i'll do that later when everyone is in for the night. First load of washing done so i'll go sort that.
Next room will be livingroom, then when the tree comes down from the attic the other stuff can go up.
School run and trip to be done in the middle of it all. Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
IF you have a condenser boiler and it stops working pour HOT water over the pipes (outside) as the condensate (ie the water) will have frozen (NDN is a gasman)
might be the same for you Hellyboo - check the drain puipes from the sink aren't blocked.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Well DD's room is glossed as much as I can without shifting furniture. I've painted the inside/edges of her cupboard doors where they're glossed as well as the bedroom door & frame and the windowsil. Off back upstairs now after a lunch break to start painting the hallway gloss, even using an roller I'm going to be a while
DD is still coughing & blowing her nose like there's no tomorrow. She has more colour in her though although it is a weird colour.
She's still resting on the sofa which I think is whats helping her feel better

Afternoon. Well, I've had a productive day in Muddyland. Kitchen all clean and sparkling ready to receive the tesco order if it gets here. It's snowing again so at the very least I'd expect it to be late if it comes at all. Both children in school today and we've had snow on and off all day. I've cleared the paths three times as the grit we ordered from DH's work isn't coming until the 8th. How dare it snow before that!! I did put salt on my tesco order though I'm guessing it'll be out of stock. Saying that, I put one of each type of salt, value, cooking, table etc so if it's all in stock i'll have tonnes of the stuff:rotfl:.
I've had a text from DD's school to say if it's open tomorrow children can wear walking boots/trainers/anything rather than school shoes to help them not slip if they want too. DD has bright pink walking boots so that'll be quite funny.
Oooh it's blowing a blizzard here now. I almost feel guilty for not picking dd up from school but I really don't like driving in ice. I'll have hot chocolate ready for when she gets in and Jinky has arrived so he brings treats!!
So, i've:
sorted the kitchen
cleaned the floors
done a washing load
decluttered
sorted stuff for charity shop
Think I'll go and pair up some socks before I end up with baskets and baskets of them again!

seafarers_wife wrote: »PenPen - I find that, so what ive done is well since its just me in the house at the moment is put a spare couple of bath mats in the hall by the door and i then strip off my bottom half and put a clean pair of joggers or trousers on which i keep on the desk in the hall. it means i dont traipse it all through the house.
Great idea :T I;ve put an old towle by the door, and there are no more spills :TNothing exciting in my test results, six weeks of ibuprofen, try to keep warm and see if I feel any better :roll eyes: The annoying generalisation of 'stress' was brought up so I am sulking.
I have cracked and fetched the boys from school, ridiculous that it is still open.
Chestnuts roasting here
, and then I am going to have a hoover through once the damp welly patches have dried out.
Sorry to hear they found nothing
punch a cushion and free the stress :T
Like Dusty - how do you recommend we roast chestnuts - seen one a bit like this, but cheaper at my lcal hardware shop :money: Are these, any good?
Thank heavens for my full cupbards :j Meatballs for tea, and onion soup from the freezer for lunch

Well, it gets better, washing machine is broke too :wall:
I just switched it on and immediately heard water behind it (it's built into the cupboard) so switched it off and then the water from the sink drained (very slowly). I think they share the waste pipe so there is some kind of issue there. OH will look at it when he gets home and if he can't work it out the landlady will be called in the morning. Her hubby is a plumber and they're pretty good about things like that. But it now means I have a load of washing in the machine and two on the kitchen floor. Meant to be having a friend over for coffee in the morning after DS's music but I think I might cancel at this rate.
Kitchen is S&S'd, LR will be done when monsters in bed as there's no point until then. Going to try and make some semblance of order in the conservatory and then tackle the list. Not sure how much I can do in there as OH's chest of drawers is in bits on the floor but I will try!So, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
They call me Mummy
