LameWolf - be careful and not make your flare up any worse - what about a total relaxing day/ snoozing/ in bed would that help? I take my hat of to you for your determination not to let it get the better of you - we could all take a leaf out of your book and not let silly little things bring us down when we see how much you deal with (((hugs)))
(((HUGS))) right back Toots. Don't worry, I'm breaking all my tasks down into mini-tasks, wherever possible. Staying in bed wouldn't work for me; psychologically, I need to get up, bathed and dressed. I do have a very nice sofa I can flake out on when necessary though, and a blanket that Mr LW's mum crocheted many years ago (how I wish I could've know her *wistful sigh*); and I can see the birds in the garden from the sofa.;)

Natty68 hey, you did the important job, and fed the chirpies. It's always more difficult working around a bloke - I struggle to do the living room or the kitchen when Mr LW's working from home.:o

Poohbear sending anti-flare vibes your way, mate.;)

Nearly finished - I may yet manage that star! Once I looked at the list properly, I realised a couple of short-cuts I could take.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Good afternoon  DH and I braved the snow, and had a lovely day shopping in York. He treated me to lunch in Little Betty's, and I found a new wool shop, and bought 11 balls of pure wool to crochet a granny square blanket for our room :j

We got home to find the house empty - DS's school is closed, so we assume he;s snowballing, though he knows that he's supposed to leave us a note saying where he is and when he'll be back :naughty:

Pasta with pork and carrot sauce (HM from the freezer) for tea, then taking DD to Sheffield for a concert (assuming she gets back from college OK, and we can get her there  ).

I've finished the coffee and cake DH has made for me, so now off to tidy :p

    stay warm :A

  • Well DH has shut the shop early as the town is like a ghost town with all the snow. Most of the other retailers have done the same, so I don't see myself getting much more done.
Going to do some History Trust stuff now. Listening to old audiotapes of the local reminiscences group so I can transcribe them. Absolutely fascinating.
Hope everyone is safe and warm xx

Ah, right - so 'official' which at least means several of you travelling together and in a sensible vehicle I hope.

There will be 7 of us, not necessarily a sensible vehicle but we are taking sleeping bags, flasks, spare clothes in case we need to find somewhere to stay over. We are not expecting to get there, especially as towards the end of the journey we need to go on B roads!

I haven't done any flying, can't be bothered. OH is out clearing the drive at the mo, even though it keeps snowing. He is trying to make it easier in case they are at school tomorrow.

DS was ill this morning so I was told to take him home and not to worry about parent help. I think I will sign up to 3 mornings next term to make up for it, even though I did 3 last term as well. OH is on his way home and said he will pick DD1 up from school. She went on a school trip to the theatre to watch Cinderella, she was excited this mornign so I hope she's had a nice time :)

Right time to declutter my cuppa then onto dinner for the kids. Will clean the fridge out while it cooks.

Will catch up with Fred later :) Hugs, love and spoons to those who need/want them :) xxx
