Ooh I had a thought, not sure how others feel about it, but wouldn't it be good if we could combine having all the christmas stuff done and our houses all nice and tidy etc by midday on Christmas Eve. Maybe we could have a challenge, like the ironing challenge, and those that wanted to could sign up for it.. What does everyone think? Or is it a daft idea..lol

That is what I am aiming for, so I will join you

I'll join you both with that challenge. Last year I was wrapping Xmas pressies as my dad was leaving theres to come and pick us up on Xmas day :o They only live 10mins up the road :o

I need to make lists and a calender - a BIG calender for the wall. OOoooo just thought I have lining paper under the stairs which I can use :D *disappears under the stairs to find the paper*

ETA: I've phone the CSA at 2.58, the money is showing as "on the way" in their account as of 1.58 so its a good job I left it until later :rotfl: The man said it'll take a couple of days to clear their end, then it'll be sent to me, so I should expect it around the 4th/6th :D THEN I'll order DD her practical winter boots and put in an @sd@ delivery for when we've broken up for Xmas :D;)

ajmoney I need to be organised for Christmas as we are going away early on 26th!! I need a challenge.

toots I am so pleased you had help for lunch as it is so difficult for people to get around at the moment. My boys went and helped their great aunt yesterday as she was clearing her drive and she is 80!! They are nearer to her now so can help when needed. They have been carers for many years. Keep warm.

Do you think we could get Piggers or Toots to put it on the front page for the next three/four weeks then those that want to can sign up and we keep a list of people doing it. Then we can jolly everyone up - like the ironing challenge.

I am afraid so Crafty, it is for a funeral with wierd circumstances and we have been asked to get there, the organisers want us to leave REALLY early, we are already setting out at 6.30 tomorrow morning. We have to at least TRY to get there, I am afraid that is HM Forces for you.

The skies are looking awful at the mo.
Ah, right - so 'official' which at least means several of you travelling together and in a sensible vehicle I hope.

Managed to get the recycling sorted and will put out for collection in a mo - always get caught out by how quickly it gets dark and I have to take the wheelie bin down a pitch black lane full of potholes. Also done dishes and started clearing sides, and got a bowl of water boiling in the microwave so I can wipe that out. Feeding baby now and will do another HHC at 4.30 :)
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,

Kids all home so the madness has begun, stocked up on a few things to keep us going food wise for a few days. It gives more snow for us tonight and tomorrow. So best be prepared. :D

DD now doing homework, boys have sorted there room and i'm gonna get dinner on. All curtains and blinds pulled to keep the heat in. Got my fuse for the bm so i'll check it out while i make dinner. :D

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Hello all,

Hope you are all snug and safe,

weather looks bleak here but no snow yet, but you can feel the wind picking up speed.

Cleaned the Landy today to get all the road salt off, checked the oils and water. Just a top up of anti-freeze was needed and 50 litres of deisel !!

Worked out the fuel, not bad for a 20 year old wagon, 32 miles to the gallon.

    Meanwhile back at camp:
