Yum yum yum, forgot the carrots!!
Glad I didn't make the effort then :rotfl:. I love them grated and cooked, covered, in the oven for 20 mins with a bit of water, sugar and butter. *dribbles*
How was the three bird roast? I have been tempted to try since Soappie did her spectacular multi bird one. May do one for the big event, although I have bought a turkey already.
We have beef, and HM yorkshires (fingers crossed for 3 good batches in a row after years of rubbish ones) so I am not too jealous.
ETA - Sexymouse - there are some nice small baskets on bhs (from £5 delivered) this weekend, or some lovely floral things on Thompson&Morgan (c£10 and a free bunch of carnations for you) on hotukdeals which might do for your nana? My grandma objects to everyone sending her flowers (mad - no such thing as too many flowers!) so I have sent her a hamper this year, usually I do the crocus or hyacinth basket type things from T&M.
There is also a 20% off Thorntons code so I have done stuff for the multitude of neice/nephew things on 3 for 2 which means I am mostly finished with the exception of stockings for my boys for which I have nothing atm.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Thanks hex - I've not been on that Thompson and Morgan site before - some really pretty things. I like the Christmas Cherry plant. Cashback via Quidco too - I think the free P&P ends tonight which is £4.95. I have used them a few times, the one year it didn't do well they replaced it without question.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hex thanks, I have a bit and have been adding pasta, rice etc to it, half of it's pans etc but there are tins etc in there too. Yes, bimble or potter, no more! Can you not have Diclofenac instead of ibuprofen, I find it has more of a kick.
Been a huge fall out with friends and we have ended up in the middle so kept me busy and upset most of the day. God don't you just hate it when men turn into total !!!!!es.
Not doing bad, been bimbling in between dealing with stuff. All laundry that is dry is upstairs apart from my suit jacket, well it's nearly dry but of course being widow twanky the TD is on with more. I've sorted a stack of paperwork. Been trying to clear the massive hotspot that is the telephone cabinet, DP thinks his badge is on there and needs it for work so I'm going to go back and empty some more of it. Trying to sort as I got instead of dumping it all.One day I might be more organised...........

:hello:Hi ladies!
I'm currently avoiding finishing my planning for this week - so have caught up with the thread, done some online shopping, cleaned the bathroom etc etc.;)
Bathroom - Done!!:D:D:D
Very pleased that I managed three snowmen this week. I haven't done enough in the main bedroom to merit claiming one, and I can't do anymore until DD's wardrobe has been built (as the contents are stacked in the main bedroom). That should have been done this weekend, but DD isn't well - she's succumbed to the fluey cold that has been going round the family - and is in bed. DS1 also complaining he doesn't feel well.
I nipped out this morning, and did a mini shop, which means I've almost finished everything for my family. I also took advantage of the wine offer in S'bury - I needed two bottles for presents, so added another four for us for Christmas, and got the 25% off. Bargain.:D
Cup of tea time I think, then I'll finish the planning. No, really, I will...:D
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Woohoooooooooooooooo the tree is up
:D:D:D and the other outside lights are up.
No snowmen for us but jobs well done so I am satisfied, just don't look at the trail of destruction around the house!
Better empty the WM and get dinner sorted, not even thought what we are having yet.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang
