Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
I've made a decision....I'm not decorating the livingroom, kitchen or bathroom before Christmas. :D The decorations in the livingroom will brighten that up, the bathroom needs to dry out more to stop the mould growth before I'm attempting to paint it, and the kitchen is meant to be getting the backdoor fixed (must remember to mention it to my landlady again as it seems we both forgot :o ).

I'm fed up wielding a paintbrush or roller and I want Christmas!!!!!! *stamps foot in toddler style tantrum* I've not written a christmas card, sorted out pressies or anything yet. We break up on the 17th, so DD needs to be done before that week, I am likely to be doing overtime that week (Whole school trip to see a panto on my day off so I will be needed!) and won't have a chance to get out to the shops. Besides my Xmas decs usually go up on the 1st and I'm itching to put them up. Christmas & time with DD is much more important that getting the decorating done :D

    Sunday To-Do
    - Paint Gloss work in Mine / Hall - just my room & hall to go but hall will have to wait until Ex has been and gone - he's wearing all dark colours and regularly brushes against the gloss work :(
    - Paint doors in DD room
    - Paint walls in DD room
    - Paint hall walls
    - Paint my rooms walls. x 2
    - Put up smoke alarm

    - laundry (
[STRIKE]sheets[/STRIKE] / lights / pink&purple / bedding ) and make a start on the blankets which have to go in one at a time
    - Washing up x 3 (bulky things ) - a batch of mugs & cutlery & chopping boards done which have filled the drainer. Still more to go!!
    - Bath DD
    - MAKE BEDS BACK UP (need sheets to be dry first, need the mattress protectors!)
    - School stuff ready for Tomorrow (include bag for me for shopping straight from school with list)
    - Remount Heating timer.

Tuesday ~ Living room, Hallway, stairs!
    Level One
    Dust and deweb
    Level Two
    De-fingerprint glass, screens, windows etc
    Level Three

Check smoke alarms - Put the one on the landing back up after painting the ceiling (downstairs one is already back up)
    Wednesday ~ Bedroom, Landing..
    Level one
    Replace bedding
    Level two
Polish windows and mirrors and any other glass/mirror
Thursday - Bathroom, Loo & Study
    Level Two
    Wash windows
    Level three
    Clean the bath/shower/loo's/basins etc
    Scrub down the tiles
    Friday ~ Childrens pits
    Level One
    replace bedding

I'm just heaping the dry washing on the sofa ready for DD to sort when she gets back so I can get everything washed and dried today.

Off back to it now I've finished my drink. Time to do the gloss in my room!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Thanks for all the sticky eye help. I'm using boiled water and homeopathic remedies at the moment. I'll call into the chemist in a day or two if it has not cleared. It does seem a bit better now.

The very best thing is to squirt some breastmilk in it, but I guess yours are a little grown up to still be breastfed?!

nicki good decision, you don't want to go into the festive season totally exhausted.

I'm on washing load no.3, I've cleaned a spare wheel cover in the bath (!) and changed some beds, loads of letters/emails done and er...need to iron when enough stuff is dry.

DH is teaching DD1 to play chess, which is excellent.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Good afternoon everyone  Had a lovley day in York (thanks for the weather update Mollina Girl :A ) and I bought more crochet wool :j A wool shop that was there has been transformed into a new one, and it's wonderful :j We also went to the supermarket and restocked on essentials, but I'm still trying to run down stocks as much as possible :)

    Happy Birthday Maxonian.

    Welcome home Mumof2.

I've had an idea.... I've always wanted to have a go on a dog sled, so I was thinking, if I get Mr LW to make a sled out of the old doors we're replacing, maybe if I harness all the BDs to it, we could send them off somewhere into the sunset....:rotfl:

Door update..... Mr LW got the new bedroom door planed to size and sanded, and the holes cut for the hinges, knobs and latch yesterday; took him a long time, as he's not done the cutting through for a turning knob before (both cupboard doors just push shut, iyswim). It's now lying on the kitchen floor, I varnished the edges and one side this morning. He'll flip it over for me to varnish the 2nd side tomorrow (he's on leave) then we'll go into town and do some errands and stuff. Tuesday he's working from home, finishing at 14:30, so he'll hang the door when he finishes work.:)

I guess I'll be Flying from Wednesday onwards only next week, but if it's Level One only, then so be it! ;)

I'm SOAADFA-ing this afternoon, saving my remaining spoons for our meal out tonight.

Oh, I've also had confirmation that Sidney will be with me some time aroung 15:30 - 16:00 on Friday.:T:T:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I have my mouth wide open!!

Was never any good at PE... :o

nicki good decision, you don't want to go into the festive season totally exhausted.

    Seconded!

Lost my rag again with DS1, who can't stay awake after the party last night. Was supposed to help DS2 do a Christmas list...

Half-way through a Mr A order I decided not to bother. I've got to go there anyway, as it's the closest place with plastic recycling containers, and I'm really only bothered about the beer offer. No Mr T slots until next weekend, so I'll have a look at Mr M's website and I might call in the week if offers are good.

Budget done, and it's not looking too bad. May have a look at some presents for the kids while DS2 is watching a film with his Dad.

Kazw - glad you are having a nice day.

Bought my Dad's Christmas present today using clubcard vouchers (last day of their double up offer) so didn't have to pay anything for it. :money:So, in terms of presents, just have my Mum, a small present or couple of presents for Moon (we decided to just give each other £5 worth of presents this year due to the wedding etc), my Nana (no idea what to get her - it gets harder every year, as she's 93), and my sister. Moon can get something for his brother and his girlfriend, as I've got all of the rest of the presents.

May do some wrapping later if I can be bothered.

Sheets in the wash, so that I can change them tonight. Need to do another darks load so that I have something to wear to work this week (not working til the afternoon so have a little bit of breathing space there).
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/2017
