Stolen iPhone - no insurance please help!

Hi all, I received at the start of August an unlocked iPhone 4 from a close family member bought at our local Apple Store. Last week, during a late night coming home I was sleeping on the train and I believe somebody took the phone from my coat pocket. Unfortunately the 'FindMyiPhone' feature wielded no results just saying…

Just a bit of a point regarding the find my iphone feature....

It doesn't work if the phone is blocked as it needs the sim card to be active to track it in order to send the location.

Unfortunately, calling to bar the phone straight away was the worst thing to do from a 'find the handset' perspective, but the best thing from a 'how much were all those international calls?' point.
