Got mine up now and am glad I did.
Isn`t huge..only three feet tall. But it`s beautiful. Got a collection of red and gold baubles on it, a fairy on top and lights. Now it`s getting dark, the lights especially are lovely and comforting.

We put ours up today
we both work full time and this is our only opportunity to enjoy some time putting the tree up together before 1st. It's just a fake tree but looks lovely, I don't think I'd do with the hassle of a real tree TBH. We have moved since last Christmas and seem to have lost most of the decorations but one more set of lights should do so I'll buy those tomorrow. Also the fairy seems to have flown off to pastures new, so in true MSE style, I made some wings and a halo for the monkey I got free with PG Tips last week :A :rotfl:he actually looks fantastic! With his wee reindeer tshirt on and I used purple glitter on his wings to match the baubles on the tree. Very proud of myself! Now I just can't wait for it to get dark so that I can see the full effect!
Just needs a few presents under it now :j0 -

OH says I'm not allowed to put it up until December but he's away at work until Wednesday so he'd never know... :rotfl: This is also my last day off until Saturday so I'd have to wait nearly a full week. Might just get the boxes down and 'sort through them' in preparationD'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

ours has gone up today. yyippppeee.
I was on dining room duty. and have put blue led lights around the bay window and all around the fireplace. and a litel 3ft fibre optic tree. Still not sure weather to buy a 4 or 5ft real tree to go in there. and i've put some ornaments etc around.
as for the lounge. hubby still poorly. he has built the 7ft snow covered tree. ( i love it, but always build it wrong, lol) and now he is crashed out. so work in pregress. i'll prob finish it when kids gone to bed. But we had a couple of very light snow flurries while we were putting it up and had xmas dvd;s on. was fantastic.0 -
Put our gorgeous 7ft tree up today!! We're snowed in so couldn't think of anything better, DS was so excited - he's just turned 4yrs old so its all very real at the moment with him. First year he's really been into it all.0

Ours went up yesterday!!! Looks so beautiful and it's really cosy in here in the evening. I still need to put up the rest of the twiddly bits (candles, wreath, garlands etc) but the main tree is up!Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."
