We are putting ours up on Wednesday, can't wait :T.
We have a big 7 foot tree and a small 5 foot one, we do have a large lounge though so it doesn't look too ott.
It is always a big family thing putting the trees up and then we take a photo with us sat next to the big tree, sad I know:rotfl:.

    Done ours this morning :D
Would normally do it on the 1st but quite frankly can't face tripping over the boxes for the next 3 days. Kids have really enjoyed helping. As has the kitten :eek:

Not yet - Nov is too early for us.

Will be the 10th when ours goes up this year, the day after the last of the presents are bought, then I can start wrapping and stick them straight under the tree when done :D

Mine's a big artificial one kept in the loft, which means shinning up a ladder and hauling it down, plus the 5 boxes of decorations, so I need plenty of time for the job. Usually do it the 1st weekend in Dec.
Also have to rearrange furniture to fit it in - books and bookcase carted upstairs to the spare bedroom, table into the kitchen, china cabinet moved.
Then I take the lids off all the boxes of decorations and decide on a colour scheme - red/gold, blue/silver, red/green etc. Last yr I did green/white/silver, and I have to blow my own trumpet and say it looked magical! It's extremely hard to find baubles that are a good green colour though.

And it is absolutely essential to have Christmas music playing while I'm dressing the tree, preferably all the oldies - "white christmas", "chestnuts roasting.." etc, or else a Christmas movie. :D
If I'm over the hill, where was the top?
