  • Quick update here - still no sign of my order. I paid £2 for 'next day' delivery on Sunday afternoon - not impressed! Since when did next day equal 3+ days?

Hmm ordering them Sunday, they should be with you Tuesday really. I'd give them a ring, maybe they'll refund your delivery? That's what I would expect if I'd paid for next day delivery and the item hadn't arrived.

I know its frustrating but please spare a thought for the delivery drivers in these weather conditions. I am expecting 4 deliveries but we have not even had any post for two days and I would not want anyone to get hurt just trying to make a delivery to me.

Mine arrived today, I ordered on Sunday. They smell fantastic! Can I resist enough to give them as the presents as I'd intended?... hmmm....
  • Mine have been delivered today. Hubby is stuck in snow on way home. I'm all alone with Thorntons chocolate..... oh dear, bye bye presents for other people! :D

I completely agree, I certainly don't blame delivery drivers at all, I don't expect anyone to risk their life just to bring me some poxy chocolates, lol! I'm more disappointed in Thorntons for not even giving me a quick email or phone call to let me know. I've heard absolutely nothing from them, I don't even have a tracking number to see where the parcel is! Plus trying to get in contact with them is like drawing blood from a stone, I gave up on the CS line after 20 minutes today. I'll be asking for a refund on my delivery.
  • I ordered on Sunday... Got a paypal confirmation but no confirmation from Thorntons and theres no mention of my order on their website ! Ive emailed them to enquire about my order but had no reply.
I can only assume they are up north and snowed in and understaffed because of it. I'll phone them next week I guess :(

I dont think theyre annoyed at the delivery people-more annoyed at the shop-I have a feeling if Thorntons refund the delivery charge there will be no blame either way

IMO the stores know they arent getting delivered within the time scales and should proactively contact the customers to offer refunds on the delivery price :)
  • Mine arrived 8am this morning. I ordered 4 boxes on Sunday - for pressies. But been stuck in all day due to snow so decided to sample them and see if they were ok. Yep, I can vouch for them being ok lol
