I dont think theyre annoyed at the delivery people-more annoyed at the shop-I have a feeling if Thorntons refund the delivery charge there will be no blame either way

IMO the stores know they arent getting delivered within the time scales and should proactively contact the customers to offer refunds on the delivery price :)

Exactly. As far as I can see there's not even a notice on the Thorntons website acknowledging the weather and warning people of possible delays?

Some online stores have excelled themselves in this weather (I've had emails from a few different companies today saying they're offering complimentary free delivery due to the weather), and some stores have really let themselves down :(
  • Received my 4 boxes today!
  • Yum! 6 boxes of 'mint' (btw they are bigger / different contents to Tesco version), advent calendar and a few small chocs, less than £20, arrived this morning!
Thanks so much OP, I wouldn't have bought them at full price, so this means we won't have to have the cheap versions!! :D

At work I got a Thorntons "advent calender" of offers and on the 6th December it's says "Mint chocs half price" and it's online and in store.

So hopefully more bargins for people

Perhaps as another poster said they are short staffed. It took my DIL 4 hours to get to work yesterday for a 1/2 journey and my SIL 9 hours to get home from work last night.

I am feeling exactly the sae Stargirl90 - I am in one of the worst hit places and am waiting on 4 deliveries - ASDA are the only ones who have let me know they will not be arriving when they said they would.

Thorntons, New Look and ASOS are not doing well ....
