Now then stripey girl, how's your writing doing? Have you sent it yet? Hope you're happy with it (or at least happy to be rid of it)... First day back at work for me, bit of a shock to the system, seem to have spent most of the day eating! (that's what you get with no ultra healthy office mate to shame you out of eating biscuits all day! :rotfl: fortunately she's back tomorrow :D)

Writing conclusions chapter on the train on the way home, couldn't bring myself to do it at 7.30 this morning :o

GV good thing to get excited about

Not 100% finished scary writing - but am *almost* there kinda - hopefully

I emailed today and said snowdays/server down etc - writing not in today - met with understanding

ALOT of lovely bargains Mr T tonight (not been for ages as I'm semi-boycotting the new shop)

27p for Orkney gold mince (labelled at 5.49) couldn't believe how many there were there - I only took 4 packs although there were loads, 29p for a block of edam, 2x9p neeps (swedes to you folks) and an expensive 29p cucumer and same for a cabbage and threw caution to the wind for a couple loaves of #posh# bread (59p)

We weren't in late (5pm) so although I got bargains not much else was reduced. (I mean paying 59p for a loaf of bread - ridiculus!) lol

bagged up the mince and got 12 bags mince (each for a family size meal) can't beleive folk pay 5.49 for mince - nice local mince, but all the same - mince

I hope you're all good - I'm needing to think about this writing more and v tired. Thats the holidays for you

Cheery hope your first day was good! x

KK woo hoo to feeling all excited about life x

  • Well done Pippi, keep going! The end is in sight I think!

We don't get bargains like that down here, best I got today was 4 packs of half price coffee.

Days are definitely longer now, makes me feel like it's almost spring! (Not) Must sort out all my random packs of seeds and try to plan what goes where!

they're really good bargains Pippi, i thought i did well in Coop on saturday, they were doing 3x garlic bagettes reduced down to 50p. They seem to prefer throwing stuff out at my co-op rather than reducing by more than half price, but these were still a good bargain and are now residing in our freezer. I lurve garlic bread!

Yep, I think they're good bargains too, Pippi - I got some slices of quorn on Sunday which worked out to a great price per kilo, but there's nothing like that. And if you *only* buy reduced items at the new store, it could be looked at as you actually *undermining* them rather than shopping at them, so to speak :D:D:D Every little helps :D

I tried to comment on greenval's post last night, thats when my connection to the net broke down - I'd be excited too, greenval, in fact I think I might have that same voucher somewhere - you don't need any other spends with it? Hurray!

Hope the writing is going well, Pippi.

Sadly if one doesn't have a freezer, or the spare cash to buy a freezer, or the space to put the unaffordable hypothetical new freezer, one cannot take advantage of such bargains and is therefore forced to pay full price for mince. It really isn't that cheap! (Whisper it... wish I could persuade Mr Lotti that a main meal doesn't NEED to contain meat... GRRRR)

Anyway, excellent bargains! :D As you can probably tell from about I am most jealous! Also at getting the writing done! :D:D How much to go now?
