trog, the artichokes have arrived safe and sound. I shall be putting something in the post towards postage as soon as i can. Thank you so much for them i think we're going to have a go at roasting them today unless someone can tell me if they will stay in one piece if added to a stew.

I'm trying to keep quiet at the moment, OH came back from his night shift at half 8 this morning so he's in bed asleep. I surprised myself and was able to sleep without him, after a while so maybe now i'll be able to go to be earlier when he wants to stay and watch tv and it will help my tiredness.

And we had the lightest dusting of snow last night... not enough to be inconvenient, just enough to make the sunny day look even brighter! :j :j

(Only MINOR downside is the ol' lurgy... I thought I was getting better but Mr Lotti says I am much worse, confirmed this am by having coughed so much last night I'm getting a sore back and stomach muscles! So I fear I will be stuck inside just looking at the lovely day. BAH!)

Right well, 3 assignments and a pile of revision to do, and a trip to Holland & Barratt on the horizon (I will INSIST on going outside for that one), really should be getting on!

Morning all, still floating on air and feeling lucky after the socks did their work last night Feeling very relieved as we've already texted a few times today and are definitely meeting up at some point in the next 24 hours. The best thing - he lives very close by, so much so that initially I was reluctant to meet him as I was worried that he might already have seen me at my worst in the village shop, lol......

Anyway, I'd better go and wash those socks

Morning all
Bright but very cold wind here.
Witch Hazels are starting to flower. one yellow and a bronze one. They look so cheery when everything else looks drab:j
I'm really wanting to get in the garden but I suspect it's far to early to disturb things that are still sensibly dormant.
I intend to try and do another couple of rows of my rug kit this afternoon. It is a lovely pattern but slow progress. Good excuse to sit and watch midsummer murders as well though.
I've just fed the birds and in addition to the usual suspects I've had one of those lovely Wagtails. It must be tiring you know , all that tail wagging!

LT glad the 'chokes arrived. They do stay in one piece in stews, I added some chunks to soup the other day.

Hey Trog - My chap at work told me dig them up whenever for planting after now - when you've a mo for a few for planting I'd love a handful
