Cheery we've started a club of two methinks - the yellow wellie club - yours look remarkably like mine (but much cleaner and cheaper well done, although mine are from work and technically free, but you have the cleaner of the two :) - remember to text me when you're out in them (I'll do the same) wouldn't want to both turn up wearing the same wellies (and socks)!:rotfl:

Mine look like yours because I loved yours so much I wanted some exactly the same :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: And I reckon it'd be dead cool to turn up wearing the same wellies :D:D

(I'm still wearing them - today they've had an exciting adventure to the WI, been round the charity shops, and sat in the attic in front of the laptop while I've been staring at PhD - proper urban wellies :rotfl: none of your beach-walking or chicken-chasing for these! :rotfl:)

Glad Mr Stripes made it :T :T Say hello from us :D
  • You've got them on in the house?????????

:) well we'd get told off for that here - go you - they'll really add to the writing up.

I'm glad you liked them so much, since you've said that I've become fonder of these - I didn't like them before (sorry wellies) but you've made me see they are cheery! Wellie club meet ups are on the cards methinks!

Now, don't make promises your wellies can't keep - if you return oop north - I'm sure they'll come with you and then they'll have to chase chickens!!!

I'm plodding through sections - will tell OH later you've said hi - hes clutching his guitar - and having a twangle.

I've told my own wellies I'm NOT wearing them for the write up - they've had enough field work for this project and they can be content with that input - they are NOT going on in the house (even though I'm in the utility room and technically COULD wear them).

Aunty C still doesn't know of my wellie-napping crime. (Hangs head in shame)

Yep to wellies in the house, we're a 'shoes on' household here :rotfl: partly through idleness (and partly cos I never was particularly fastidious about keeping the carpets clean and our socks might get dirty :rotfl: :rotfl:) :D

(if they were covered in chicken poo though they certainly wouldn't be in my lovely attic :D)

And yes, they'll be visiting next time we come up there :T :T Don't want to take them off, wondering whether I could wear them in the bath tonight??? :rotfl:

Well golly gosh Pippi's diary moves fast! I've only been away for a couple of days and it's taken me ages to catch up! :rotfl:

(Cheery - nice wellies! Look good and sturdy, which IMHO is crucial in a welly choice... well I am speaking from an agric point of view!)

It sounds like all has been a hive of activity! Fingers crossed for Mr Stripes' safe arrival too!

Sadly can't really participate in the birdies conversation, i feel we should put out some food in our garden but it isn't really a garden, just a small concrete yard with two bits of rope to act as the washing line... :( I really want a garden to play with! And space for chucks, given the crazy price I had to pay for free range eggs in Mr T's yesterday

    Damned supermarkets!

Nothing to stop you putting some food out anyway - in fact you may well be very surprised at what you would attract! Just make sure it's high enough that the birds that visit can't get jumped on by cats. How about some form or bracket off the post your washing line is attached to, with a feeder hanging from it?

Wow - I'd never realised that! I knew "bits" of information that should have made me connect, from stuff you'd said, but my brain stopped short of making that final connection! Gorgeous place, and one of our very favourite walks when we're there - the whole thing if we're feeling energetic, or just as far as the beach, to sit on the rocks and watch the waders, if less so! :D

I find three pairs of socks does the trick! And don't forget to tuck your trousers into them so the socks don't fall off :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Who's have I stolen??? Not yours or your ma's - one of the kids? I can post if an emergency :D

Noisy music is nasty - not wellies - although the noisy monster has arrived with his u-tube music video mayhem. He's got the other two converted - not me though!!!

I shall find out which child they belong too, I think maybe the biggest girl, but since she is now in size 7's I would hang onto them :D

    Nasty music!!! TuT ;)

You had better run very fast.... I can see you being planted in a snowdrift if the guitar playing noisy monster finds out you said that :D

LOVE the wellies, and the stripey socks. I wear some rather fetching stripey socks with mine! Have to wear nice socks with your wellies. No such thing as not liking wellies, as Pippi says you just have to find the right ones.
