Greying how lovely of u to post that comment, I'm really touched. Sorry not very cohert at the mo, heads fried with thesis. The comment itself on the blog didn't bother me, I just took umbrage at my basil being called boring. Life may be many things but it's not boring! Thank you for being so kind and great you're having a go at harsher haircuts!!

Morning all
well bank disaster has been averted and my new payment of working tax credit has arrived which means i've 200 in the bank - I'm positively rich I tell you RICH - well won't get too carried away - I need to pay more to cc, etc.
I'm using my cc to buy food/petrol etc and using the bank to pay the cc's which sounds a bit daft but want to keep credit rating on the up and if I use cc to pay food/etc then the cash (most of it) that comes in goes straight to the card - the only few things that have upset the balance of that is flying up and down the country so much over the past six months - unavoidable - but means I have to work more at paying them with as many PAD as possible to get them a bit straighter - we'll get there. And, um
When I say in the bank at the moment that phrase means (left of overdraft in each account) but we're afloat. doggy paddling
Will pay 50 to one cc and 50 to the other today - keep drip, drip, dripping them with pad's we'll get there
More invigilating today and one more person has asked me about doing a bit of gardening so in the next wee while I'll be busy for a bit.
If I can get a bit of drippy income - sounds revolting but you know what I mean! That would be great.
Dd appears to have tried to be good and do her washing and open the machine too soon and now the door is jammed half shut - can't get it open.

It *does* sound good, Pippi - though "Argh" and "Awww" simultaneously at DD trying to help and jamming the w/m door, I've no idea what the solution there would be.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

With the machine Pips you might try turning the power on, and then back off again....I know it sounds like an IT solution but it *might* work?! Or, set it to run a programme, and then switch the on button - it shouldn;t actually start because of the doors, and if it does you can switch it off again quick, but it might fool the door-lock into unlocking again after the 2 minute time delay that I assume it has?

Hi Pippi (and everyone else!)
De-lurking again after a period of almost zero-MSE action to see how things are going... sounds like the thesis is nearly there?
Also, I read your blog post on your basil and found it really helpful! I ALWAYS manage to kill ours off pretty rapido, so the potting on and haircut advice was great... just need to find some room in the grocery budget to go and buy some. Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can locate a cheapy mint plant? New potatoes require it, as do mojitos...
(Mojitos are an MSE drinkie, honest! Rum was a gift, 17p fizzy water from T*sco, cheap mint if I can find any, sugar and lime juice that were on offer... promise!)“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
