Moulin Rouge is a fab film - I loved it, and Ewan McGregor....oooohhhhh! :D

Glad your flying visit to Edinburgh went OK Stripes - certainly sounds like you made good use of the time! Useful tip-off about the compost/gro-bags too - we're OK for the time being, and with so little storage space can't buy too much ahead of when needed but I bet a few others will make use of the deal. Our seeds we planted the weekend before last have started showing their heads - we currently have turnips and radishes showing I think - not checked for anything else yet today. :T

Chev - lucky hubby. Where abouts is he in Mexico. I love Puerto Vallarta on the pacific coast and often long to be there.

He is in Ensenada Cheri. I don't think it is a particularly interesting place, and he is mainly seeing the inside of a factory lol.

Picked up 5 grow bags today, now read back over the thread and realised it made sense to buy another 16 + 4 = 20 (total 25) which might be enough for now and would come in at £33 ish

Also picked up 3 massive bags of sprouting seed potatoes for £1.74 x 2 - 48p and one more for £1.74 to split between me and a friend total £4.74 instead of full price of £9.48 as they are all half price and if you buy 2 it takes off 48p. Previous offer was buy 2 bags for £6 and this takes it down to 2 for £3 instead

Really must stay out of there and stop buying the poorly plants so much this year - I know I can't especially the lettuce that they sell off at 20p a pack and can by nursed back to health and then eaten!

What a shame, Mexico is a wonderful country. I adore it there, nearly moved there to work with one of my most favourite men in the whole world. He owns a natural tour company, whale watching, wild dolphin safaris, bird watching, hiking, biking, you name it he does it. He had to stop though as he has nobody to do all the admin side allowing him to get the tours done. That was what I nearly did. Then Mr C reappeared in my life and I chose Wales!!!!!!!

Pippi, sounds like you made it back in one piece with a van full of stuff.
I am currently coveting a gorgeous campervan and a dream to visit Orkney. We will see how Austria progresses first though.

I know someone who is planning on selling their camper.......not sure if it's a split windscreen one or not, but sounds pretty darned ancient :) MrA was musing about getting it for us! Sounds fun but not particularly practical given his inability to drive these days, I've got used to my lovely automatic car, I'm soooo lazy now!
