Interesting thought re:census, my mum is currently in hospital - do they include all in-patients? If so, how?
What do people who work nights do?

    Ok bargain alert.

B&q have buy 4 composty gro bag things (grow bags are essentially size zero compost supermodels) which u can use like normal compost, don't let anyone convince you otherwise - it's marketing rubbish.

    Anyway b and q have buy 4 grobag (@ 1.68 ea) get one free - so 5 for 4 - takes cost down a fair bit to 1.34 ea (3.9 p litre)

It's cheaper than their large bales of 120 l compost (6.99) is 5.8p litre - and the value compost works out at 4p litre - so it's a great deal.

For example at home a big bale compost is 7.99

I need about 10 (ish) but I'm obsessed of course with plants and growing my own food.

Ive saved about £40 buying these from b&q to the home price

If u need any - I'd go get some whilst it's on offer!

5 gro bags for 4 - great deal - and useful for everything.

Ta Pippi - sounds a good offer and I'll be popping in for some as I need plenty of compo for the pots and plants shortly!

Is it buy 5 grow bags for price of 4 and split and use compo for pots etc instead of big bags of compost from there?

thanks for that info Pippi, twill be very useful. We bought 3 bags of their 60l (i think) for £10 which seemed the best deal at the time but we always need more compost. i daren't even think about what the allotment needs.
  • Sparkles - exactly :)
just use them as gro bags or open and use like normal
    compost

lt you will have got a good bargain, at this time year I keep eyes peeled as the offers change quickly.

I just work it out on a price per litre and wander round like an idiot working them all out!

We got 35 bags for 40ish quid. :) not that I'm suggesting anyone needs that insane amount :)

I know I didn't want to go too crazy! :) just the same as 11 big bales of compost - :) - it was half the price I'd pay here and OH had space in his van :)
