Morning Pippi (and everyone else!) Sun's not shining here any more - hope it is for you! :T Out into the garden today, wish I had you closer at hand for a bit of inspiration! Don't really know where to start!0 -
Glad to hear that you are all progressing so well with your sowing!
Pippi, sounds like the write up is nearly over? Good luck with submitting it.
I guess I missed what is happening with DD and flying at Easter, but hope it is all sorted now

I'm waiting til my mp3 player has charged up so I can listen to Harry Potter while I'm doing it
And I'm going to take my dotty egg timer outside and just start with 15 minutes and do as much as I can
I'm also going to try and concentrate on one area, so I can really notice a difference! :T
(of course, what REALLY needs doing is that I need to move the compost bin to the other end of the garden... a big and probably extremely GRIM job that I'm not looking forward to doing on my own, but haven't managed to talk anyone else into help with :rotfl: In reality it'll probably take about 20 minutes :rotfl:) Also need to figure out how to fill the path in and build a fence - not good at things like that!
Will take photos before, and after (although I anticipate they won't look much different :rotfl:)0 -
Its the spring one. Thanks for looking for me. i can't find it down here.

All this gardening talk inspired me to get out there & do something. On the basis that a weed is any plant plant growing in the wrong place, I got DS to chop down a 15 foot weed earlier :rotfl:. My garden doesn't get the sun from mid-afternoon, but there is then a shaft of sunlight between us & next door which hits the corner where this big weed was. Am now planning on putting down a few slabs so I can stick a chair there and enjoy what little sun there is. My weed was a maple, possibly Norwegian? Variegated so should have been pretty but was actually v boring & the birds didn't like it.
Have also started to get rid of a large em..... climbing weed thingwhich was behind it & also brambles. I'll need to move a little em......variegated thingy which gives ground cover and also a Mahonia (you see I do know SOME plants
). Not sure how easy that will be, it's about 3' tall.
Also planted some herbs, violas and some little shrubs from the hospital corner at Wilkinsons. So, 1 big thing dead, others on their way, but lots of new stuff
Well done everyone elseA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
