Morning everyone, happy Shrove Tuesday
Nomnomnom.........well, hopefully, I'm going to be attempting to make gluten-free pancakes for MrA tonight, sound "delicious" don't they........
But hey, he's coming for a sleepover, so I'm a happy girlNot seen him for ages, since.......oooh, Saturday afternoon when we had a cup of tea and a natter with his son!!! Eeek, now that was scary, meeting his teenage son. He obviously approves of me, or at least hasn't poured scorn on his aged father dating me, as we're still talking, phew! (We discussed right at the outset that if our children didn't like the other one, it would be curtains for our relationship as our beloved offspring are ultimately important to our lives. Luckily DD thinks MrA is the best thing since sliced bread
:) )
I have "gardening" news to report - I spent minutes, literally minutes, cutting back brambles that are threatening to overtake the garden so that DD and her friends could play in the garden yesterday, and then the little cherubs stayed indoors playing in their den made out of a sheet and chairs, bless them
So, can I join the Pippi gardening club, can I, can I? I promise to go back and cut some more back before.........let's be generous and say, before the first bbq of the year
Hope everyone is feeling sparkly today, seeing the sun and wearing my flipflops again is certainly cheering me up. Hugs to Pippi and Wik (and anyone else who'd like one of course) xx0 -
Morning all - vile weather here - KK well done on the gardening!!
Posting parcels today and trying to get ready for work (and bit oomph)
Got a call about planting job - 65 treelets. Need visit the lady next week when I'm back.
More seeds on there - easy to post - woo hoo
Got a bit sucked in to the 'real seed company' based in wales - maybe some of you have heard of them? I'm wondering if there is such a company in scotland - might be a bit of an idea to develop for other areas of the UK.
Looking at that weather - do I really need to go out there?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Wow - all going on with you Pips - sorry I've been AWOL. Glad you're able to make the funeral - if I were american I'm sure I would tell you that it is important for "getting closure on the situation".....Wik well done for the decision to keep up with the herbs - your Mum will be so pleased, and yes, I do mean to talk in the present tense as she will always be with you, no matter what.
Sorry to hear your weather is grim today - ours is bee-ootiful for the second day on the trot, although very cold. It really sounds like things are looking up on the job/work front for you as well - we said things would come along in due course, didn't we! :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning all!
Gorgeous sunshine here too, although a hard frost last night. I re-potted a Vietnamese coriander plant a couple of days ago and I think I might have put it a bit close to the window in the (very cold)conservatory, it's looking a bit sad this morning.
Really got to crack on today, lots of work to do as well as trying to fix my car (currently minus 3 of its 4 glow-plugs) and dig the last parsnips for tea.
Well done on the sales Pippi, and on the gardening KK! It might only be a bit of pruning/ weeding at this time of year, but a bit now will save a lot more later in the year!
Oh, meant to say that I found the Real Seed Company after a recommendation somewhere on MSE I think, I bought some seeds from them the year before last as they had some unusual varieties of climbing beans and grain amaranth and squash. Not really sure how you could make much of an income from encouraging people to save their own seed though.0 -
You were *so* busy, Pippi! Sounds like you're putting out some feelers to get lots more work too - I hope it goes the way you want.
KK, good for you - at my last house, I was overwhelmed with brambles, and not keeping on top of them is disastrous - I only made it to the back of the garden three times in a dozen years:o:o it starts so innocently and then goes really pear shaped
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning all
Good to hear we are all venturing out into our gardens, even if you do have to fight the brambles and the weather.Freezing here this morning.
I bought 8kg of 'organic pelleted manure' from ALD! yesterday to sprinkle aroung the back garden. I found half a bucket in the shed so the side is already done . Met Mr fixit when I was bringing the wheely bin in so he's going to come and sort out the new water butt. It needs to be screwed to the wall because of the wind down the side Path EEK! and connected to its friend so that one can overspill when full. I have mad visions of a whole row of them like green daleks along the side wall but perhaps not.!0
