    Afternoon all
Hope we are all feeling a bit better. My forehead is painful but I now have a more normal dressing on so don't look like I've just suffered major trauma.
Pippi, how does Peedie feel about, dare I say it, cats. Might help on the mice front.
  • GV glad you're better - peedie is half cat, so I think thats not really an issue, more worried about the hens.

Good idea though - did wonder about an 'outdoor' cat.

    :)

Cheery - woooo - good use of paper I say!

Just back from a lovely quick visit to MrA and chatting with his mummy and cute nephew and everything just feels wonderful:) Really hope that DD will like him even a smidgen as much as I do and won't feel usurped, that's my biggest fear, as she is so used to being my 100% focus in life, but will make sure to take things slowly with her, so it all feels natural.

Love the sound of PhD thesis wrapping paper, an untapped market! Sadly, I don't have a copy of my degree dissertation as I could only afford to print out one copy and then the floppy disk corrupted and the uni threw out our hard work after a few weeks!!
  • (()) KK she will find her own way - and will always be the 100% focus of your life - with other bits bolted on that make it even more fun.

:) Back from the PO - sent a parcel doon sooth :) nipped to co-op and (I KNOW I KNOW) got a bit of reduced local meat and some cheese and some loo roll as we're down to our last 10 and I'm getting twitchy.

    :)

Pippi.........naughty girl! You need to go out without your purse! I've had to start doing that as I'm dreadful for reduced stuff.....am aiming for a NSD today. I have a loo roll mountain as well so I can empathise on that front :)

Darn it, just realised I have very little milk, so might have to break my NSD (or force DD to drink soya/rice milk, evil cackle!!)

I'm with KK - naughty Pippi! I know you can get snowed in, but 10 loo rolls is enough!

Love the interview process, by the way - and as for numbers of marriages, my business partner of 20 years is on marriage no 3, and its lasted 16 years - tothers were over in 3 or so - so, 3rd time is the charm :)

another one sneaking in to own up to a *first* short marriage, just over 12 months - long story - long time ago - different very silly young girl. No 2 lasted 16 years (with a blip at 7 so why didnt I spot that one coming) Mr C would be no 3 if paper involved. Like Mr Stripes - not for him, much too sensible but also very shy and a bit behind the doors if you see what I mean. :) No kids involved in any but at start of this one a Great Dane, cocker spaniel and african grey parrot who were my babies and my whole world.

Pippi, 10 loo rolls - I need to introduce you to Mr C, he is obsessed with loo rolls!

Hya Pippi, have you thought about joining the NSD challenge? The Feb thread starts here. I have found that it helps me reduce what I spend and when I spend it...still spending a bit much, but it is coming down!! We also have fun with our virtual trips around the world (we have access to the TARDIS!)

Right, the roast chicken (free-range from Aldi - £4.99 :j) is nearly ready, so must get the veggies on, nope, DH is doing that, so I can stay on here and catch up, he is a treasure :A!

Lovely to hear of how some of you have introduced your new partners to your kids. DH was my second ever boyfriend (aaah!), and we will have been together 32 years this year . Funny, I can still remember the party when we "got together" like it was yesterday. Our friends assumed we had been together secretively for a while and had decided to "go public" that night...little did they know! All this rambling, sorry, just meant that you just know when things click and feel right, even if it takes you by surprise (I had known him for 7 months as "one of the boys").

Looks like the chicken is ready to be carved...oooh looking forward to this! :D:D

Woo hoo I managed a NSD, okay so at whatever past midnight me and a friend order a baby walker on Amazon for our mutual neighbour's daughter's birthday, but Wednesday was a no spend day :) 8th of the year, I'm doing fabulously if rather tipsy and this post is taking a pretty darned long time to type ;) I can't even blame MrA, damn him!!
