Bulls have been drifting away from this forum in recent weeks. The defence from the remaining stragglers is half hearted at best.

Apologies macaque, if the MacBulls missed a bit of your !!!!!! flinging antics.
It's just that the Scottish bull contingent have only now recovered from the hangover..... after that celebration party all summer as prices reached several new peaks on the ROS monthly, quarterly, weekly and the SPC and Lloyds indices.
So what were you trying to say?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Funny, but carolt has disappeared as well.
She's probably just depressed about buying a house for her landlord though.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

The bears don't have much to cling onto either. That's why London apart, prices will likely drift up and down over the next few years, with the government/BoE/FSA hoping inflation will take care of the rest.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I am guilty of posting less macaque but honestly have you not noticed the quality of posting has dropped significantly from 1-2 years ago? There is far less intelligent debate and far more pointless slagging off and stupid hyping threads (from both bulls and bears).
As for defence! Honestly I just don't feel the need to get involved in a pointless debate (although debate would be giving it undeserved credit). i must say that i rather liked chucky, by bull standards he seemed like a nice sensible young man.FACT.0

To be honest the whole debate has gone a bit flat.
Everyone used to jump up and down when monthly figures said this or that. We've all seen it doesn't make any difference to prices.
As a home owner I'd say this is a great time. Not at all depressing. Mortgage rates are so low and will stay that way. I'd rather prices dropped 10% and rates stayed low for next 5 years than prices and mortgage rates rose.
As long as prices are high when I sell I don't really care. It's nice to be able to bide your time. I'd be happy to wait 10 years. No reason not to.
I just saw this comment on Sky news. Made me laugh. The whole thread is hammering vulture type buyers. And for all those seeking a bargain I have a message......My (very small mortgage costs 200 / month to service, my house would cost circa 1000 / month to rent)
So if you are waiting for a bargain you may have a long wait. The ones that do come on the market will have fiece competition due to higher rents. I do appreciate though that this varies in accordance with region.
Personally , I dont fancy living in a dump.We love Sarah O Grady0 -

Sometimes you need a break from the groundhog day syndrome.
