Naive? These are the people that covered the Labour party conference in full and then, the very next week, threatened a news blackout during Cameron's speech.

Come on Harriet, how about answering what they have to prosper from?

Today at 3pm the BBC headline will be 'England Fails to Win World Cup Bid'. Much more newsworthy.

    Enough said, well engineered:

Ive found that Spamish and Sibley are all too happy to start off a thread, and will rant at you when you put your viewpoint forward, but the second you provide some evidence and justification they disappear. I cant help but have the feeling they have no reasoning or intelligence behind being bulls, other than they own property.

    Love it. :rotfl:
Let's see if anyone else does that.
It would be nice if we could return to a stage where FTBs can actually afford places to buy and arent outpriced by BTLers. Investers should stick to stocks and shares.

Just curious to delve a bit further in to your opinions on what investor should be able to invest in. What's your feelings on people investing in shares of companies who invest in property? Or property funds? Or would you like to see these companies shut down so that people can't invest through them?

Taking it a bit further, how do you feel about investors buying shares in companies like Tesco and Starbucks who actively buy land as an investment, often to stop competitors buying it and to specultate on it and therefore sell it later for a higher price?

Taking it even further, most people's pensions in this country will, indirectly, be invested in FTSE 250 property companies via a variety of funds. I presume you don't have your pension invested in any of these companies through FTSE funds?

It's a complicated moral maze out there.

I wonder if there any others?
Something like that. I think that QE + low interest rates is only prolonging the pain of the recession instead of having a more painful one but very quickly.

Do you think there is a mechanism by which that will occur? What will QE and low interest rates cause to happen that is bad do you think?

    <silence>

What were the chances of that?

My opinion is that it would be have been more sensible to not have made the accusation that these people were perhaps implicated in wrongdoing in some way until afterward, if that's what you mean.

Taking the decision to broadcast a message that you think they are thieving liars so close to the date of the vote clearly points to the BBC trying to derail the process to serve their own agenda. it's impossible to draw any other conclusion.

What a load of crock. The TV programme had nothing to do with this.

We should in no way bend over backwards to FIFA in terms of having a free press just to please them. I suspect that's why they chose a quasi-dictatorship and a dictatorship to hold the next world cups. Wouldn't want any criticism at all of FIFA, would we?

I think JonnyBravo has already pointed this out, but I've asked you a few questions which challenge your point of view (which is what debate is) and you've just ignored them.

The BBC are now reporting that FIFA state our media, as they call it, did influence the vote.

Some will therefore blame the BBC.

However, it solidly proves the point the BBC were making.

We still don't know the point.
