Who is e-mailing these 40+ jobs to you every day and what kind of jobs are they?

Register with any jobseeker website and they will email you everything that matches basic criteria on a daily basis.

Are they brand new jobs every day or do you get repeats of ones you've received previously and are still available?
  • Youre best off checking the JCP website everyday (using the filters and narrowing down by area and 1-2 days old) as when I was looking, maybe several dozen jobs are added everyday in my area, enough to apply to several a day and also being sure that you aren't missing out on many new jobs.

I have been made redundant 3 times now - was working two part time jobs (out at 730am and home usually about 11pm) - it took me nearly 12 months to get a job and I as a lot on this forum applied for anything and also scoured the high streets - when unemployed I took this time as looking for a job as fulltime work with little to no success.

Now as i approach redundancy for the third time I have applied for 80+ jobs - 1 interview 1 rejection letter, I blame no-one but individual cases are personal to themselves and widescape statements don't fit everyones situation.

I personally will work anywhere with any hours - if you know of anything going please feel free to PM me!

CRIKEY! Well - with having worked 7.30am to 11pm at various part-time jobs to make up one full-time job - then I guess the next thing is you could usefully put up a thread here on MSE as to how on earth to "have a life" with the amount of time/energy you would(n't) have left after that....

Yes - I am actually serious - because I have quizzed people before now who have had to make up a full-time job from several part-time jobs...and it looks a lot like hard work to me...
  • I wll emploiy intelligent people with good work ethic, PM me. SERIOUS REQUEST.

What about if you 'emploiy' someone intelligent that can spell?

  • Its easy to get a job if you will truly do anything. Its difficult to get a job if you are not willing to work in telesales/restaurants

I'd love to do an experiment, where say 10 people of varying ages, work experience, education and skill level, apply for every entry level, low paid, low skilled job in their local paper for a month, and see what happens.

I'll say it again, 7.7%, 2.5 million unemployed. They aren't all choosing to stay that way.

I imagine every single one of them would get a job actually or at the very least a couple of interviews, especially if they were willing to do telesales or say be a kitchen porter.

I think a better test would be these people who claim they are desperate to work is to see if they would still be in these jobs after a month

Are you employed? Have you had to look for work in the last two years or so?

Why all the malice directed at people in a tough spot who haven't hurt you?

I have put together a jobs board for my town, so I can bring together all the jobs within a 15 mile radius, to help people find them easier. I just checked, there's been six jobs this week: One for 7.5 hours/week as a school lunchtime supervisor; One fully qualified fitness instructor; One temporary experienced/qualified medical receptionist; one caravan maintenance/DIY/gardening person wanted for a 7 acre site; Some ad-hoc evening/weekend, temporary Xmas waitresses; One fully qualified chef to work in a starred/award-winning hotel.

How many of those could anybody here do? And those you could do, would they actually pay your rent/bills/costs?

    The jobs don't exist.
