It's showing on the E.On website, but the Electricity box is EMPTY!? Despite this, More info says:

"Our E.ON FixOnline 9 plan is only available for dual fuel and electricity only customers without a gas supply and unrestricted and Economy 7 metered electricity customers."

"In addition you’ll receive an E.ON FixOnline 9 regional discount until 1 March 2012** "

but the Discount Box say "Online Discount @ 4.10%"

    To the E.On rep:

It's happened again. Somebody can't seem to cut and paste properly in your IT department.

£186 dearer than FOL8 for me, about +17%. The unit rates are the same but considerably less discount.
  • Yep works out more expensive, but obviously you get all of next winter at the fixed price too.

for me it's £15 a month more so I will hold fire.

I can only speculate but it would seem EON are going to hold prices unlike a few of the others that have put prices up.

That tariff option isn't showing up for me at all when I login. I assume it's being updated as we speak as some people can see some bits and some can't see any.

I've found them using this link though: http://www.eonenergy.com/At-Home/Products/Products-Electricity-And-Gas/Prices+And+Discounts.htm?WT.mc_id=Prices_and_Discounts&WT.svl=8

    To the E.on rep:

on the above page it shows i would recieve 2.8% online discount with a Manchester postcode. However on Energyhelpline.com it shows i would get 4.8%. Can you confirm which is correct? UPDATE: DISCOUNTS NOW MATCH BETWEEN ENERGYHELPLINE AND E.on website.
  • I'm gonna stay on fix online v8 till March and then immediately jump on another fixed deal that is as close to that as possible. only problem with sticking with v8 is that come july you could be lining yourself up to get badly ripped off for winter 2011 as all decent long term fixed deals may've dried up by then.
  • The difference in FixOnline8 to FixOnline9 is going to cost me £179 a year more so I am staying with fixonline8 until it ends.

The tariff prices are the same, it is the discount which is reduced from 24.4% to 9.5%.

As for Age UK online it is even dearer than FixOnline9.

Another case where the poor pensioner is being charged more because it is targeted at older customers.

Would think its a very good deal for people on the older version of Fixonline v3 - I've done a very rough fag packet calculation on my usage and if I was still on v3 it would only be ~ £60 per year more - however since I'm actually on v8 I'll stay where I am!

For medium use, moneysupermarket is showing £150 difference between FixOnline 8 and 9. For my post code, that is. The online discount is 4.10%.

It seems to be a competiting product against EDF Fixed S@aver 31 March 2012, being slightly cheaper. It's also close enough to E.On SaveOnline 4 for people who want to fix be tempted.

If enough people fix using FixOnline 9 from SaveOnline 4, E.On will have increased their charging rate WITHOUT raising standard tariff! Assuming this is the case, i.e. no increase to standard tariff this winter, then SaveOnline 4 customers should stay put, and wait for a better fix in March 2011.

My fixonline 3 is ending at the end of the month. Was planning to go to saveonline 4. For me fixonline 9 has the same unit rates for elec, and slightly lower for gas over 2680. But online discount is much less at 6.1% compared with 13.4 on fixonline 3. A definate large increase. Very difficult to work out the comparison between the two until some site does it. What do you all think? Whats the best option? I assume saveonline 4 could have price increases within the life of fixonline 9. All so confusing.

Just seen the comparison. On my usage Saveonline 4 is about 100 pounds cheaper than fixonline 9. So it comes down to future price hikes or falls.?????
