  • Back in the day when I was a tyre fitter a lot of folk with front wheel drive cars would only fit two on the front. I wouldn't advise somebody to do it but its there choice. For a rear wheel drive car though I would absolutely stick to a full set of winters.
  • Nath - thanks for this, I can't beat this anywhere... okay mine is 185/55/15 but drop the sizes on the calc and seems I only have a very small loss on the % of the wheel so I will be going for these now :D I will save myself over £100 just by doing this :D:D:D

order has gone through so by Friday evening I will be ready for winter :D:D

Did you get a bag for your wheels as they mentioned on the KwikFit site?

Another £250 out of the bank but far as I feel - safety comes first and bit of rubber is the only thing stopping me going through a hedge.

    Thank you!!

Hi leo~saphira, just wondering if you fitted the winter tyres onto your existing wheels/rims and therefore will have to pay kwik fit next next to put your normal tyres back on?

I got on them the existing steelies as the old tyres on there (old summers) are shot and barely legal. I got alloys which will go on the car come spring time.

Again, worth their weight in cold (gold lol) - really do the job, ain't been stuck yet (touch wood) but there is a bridge near me in Linc's that cars have trouble getting over (wheel spinning) - me... flew over it so I am very impressed and bloody glad I got winters now.
It's hard to find the balance when you are love.
You're lost in the middle cause you have to decide between mind & heart.
