You would do all four, as the levels of grip between the rear and front would be literally frightening.
  • bleeding heck... these winter tyres are fantastic :D - you can tell the difference as it just sticks to the road.

Now waits for the snow to hit to truly test them, oh my ones are 4410's as well so only 3-4 weeks from being made straight onto the car
It's hard to find the balance when you are love.
You're lost in the middle cause you have to decide between mind & heart.
Heart is the engine of your body but brain is the engine of life.

Told ya so :p Now if you're like me you've gotta clear some room in the shed for your summer tyres!

A 4x4 with winter tyres would be the ultimate winter combo:D

Changing all four is the belt and braces way to go. But plenty of people including taxi drivers only have them on the front axle (FWD cars) in lowland Scotland.

My husband has a pick up which I use when he is not using it for work. I thought about getting snow socks for my car (I live in Aberdeenshire) but was out the other day in the pick up and thought why bother. Going along some back roads to avoid all the stuck cars on the main road and there are three abnormal loads (portacabins) stuck on the back road with a police escort also stuck. The roads were white and the police allowed them out on it. So I think you may be right Lum!

Some garages will only sell them in sets of 4 but one I phoned yesterday immediately gave me a price for two
