Day off today and DD2 has an inset day so she is still in bed
going to take dd1 to school then nip to sainsbugs for a few bits

had a lovely weekend, stayed in an hotel for DB's 50th birthday bash ( 1st time all the family have been together inyears) it was a fab party

feel tired this morning, might just have a potter round to tidy up and leave it at that

Morning all,

Wet here too, but not awful. OH has gone to work, and the boys are still asleep. The have an inset day today, so I'll let them have an extra half hour, oh nope, I hear floorboards creaking, sounds like DS1 is up! Still have an upset tummy, I think actually it might just be my nerves, going into such a big crowd last night, and I did start to panic as we arrived, but got it under control quite quickly I had a wonderful time, too, although it felt strange to be there and not be soaked to the skin :rotfl: I think the council are cutting back their budget too, as the fireworks were not quite as spectacular as previous years' - but it was still fab.

Busy day today, I have a Dr's appt this morning, then if its dry enough me and the boys are taking Coco to the park for a walk, then I have my hospital appointment to go to this afternoon. DBIL and DSIS will watch the boys for me, then. DSIS was a drunken bum at the weekend, and gave me lots to laugh about yesterday, she's so funny :rotfl:

Dinner tonight is sausage hotpot, which is cooking as we speak, I never did any baking yesterday so I will try and squeeze that in at some point, and finish my first scarf. My blind went back up yesterday, and because its a polyester cotton mix it isn't as dark as I would like, but it tones in quite nicely with my curtains.

Morning !!!!!!!!!

Well its a cold wet dreary day today.

I had plannd to some baking, but failed miserably, so going to do some today instead.

OH has been kicked out to wrk armed with pack lunch. The boys are sorted and armed with thermal vests. Snips decided he wanted long johns, he so proud of himself because he's "warm now".

My plans for today, well going to my course again, come back do some baking i,e quiches cakes etc. Think having rither soup or chilli and rice for tea. Not sure yet. If i'm feeling lazy then chilli as its already cooked.

Oh i also need to sort out the curtains and get rid of more junk, its going to be a long day!

cold and wet here today, looks really miserable so i plan to stay indoors for most of it.

The entire house is a tip and i`ve just waved DH off with the woofaloes as he`s gone fishing I really need to have a good clean through now that i`ve got an empty house as its much easier when there`s only me and little black cat.

The younger houndie has a favourite teddy bear amongst all her other toys and most of the stuffing is spread around through the downstairs :cool: i`ve restuffed and sewn it up many times but this time i think that it will go in the bin - there`s not much material left to sew as its mostly holes. She will have a new one for Christmas and can play with all her other bears until then

The first cake is already in the remoska, a nice orange drizzle cake, when its cooked i`ll make a lemon drizzle and maybe a spiced apple cake later. I also plan on making a crumble with some apples that i have left over from the chutney making so everything fruity will have been used up.

Just remembered i do need to pop out at some point to post a birthday card and collect some cleaning but that shouldn`t take too long.

Wmf - Our oldie is exactly the same with cheese, nothing wrong with his nose. He seems to know as soon as i take it out of the fridge

six inches of snow? pfft, bet it'sd not that spectacular. last year the snow hit almost everywhere but kingston, we just had an inch of slush!

Off to work soon, where they play ellie goulding alllll day, it's getting ever so slightly annoying! Lots of work to do when I get back. Thinking of doing curried red pepper, asparagus and salmon pasta for dinner. Sounds disgusting but is delicious and will help use up my frozen aasparagus, tins of salmon and glut of peppers and i can do an extra portion for tomorrow lunch.
Another dull day!

Oooh, I was talking to my neighbours about my dodgy storage heater and they've lent me one of their convection heaters from before they had storage heaters put in and i must say- it's really good!! I've had it on the 1200W setting for ~30 minutes to warm me up before work but with maximum blow-ness it's heated my 4x5m room by 3 degrees

Morning all,got a day off frpm the school run this morning .Last night I had just got home from DDs at 9.00.p.m. and the phone went and it was her.Can you come back quickly and take OH and Mikey to the hospital.The little boy had been sparring with his brothers in the sitting room and had hurt his arm.So back I went, and we went off to the hospital an hours wait for triage then an X ray and some medicine and a very nice nurse who manipulated his elbow back to where it should be and dropped them back at their house at just before midnight.Mikey was almost asleep on his feet bless him,but I'm glad nothing was broken ,just badly out of joint.Staff were brilliant with him as he was quite distressed (so was I ) but Dad said he could have the day off from school today as he was so tired and his two brothers can take their bikes to school this morning so I get a lie-in.I will pop round later to see how he is and probably take him a comic or something.he was very brave as it really must have hurt him .I think I could do with whatever it was they gave him as my joints are very creaky this morning. library books are due back today so I'll do that when I'm out but NSD today really as I have enough till tomorrow. Uni tonight so its an early dinner for me.Think I fancy some fish for a change I know I have quite a bit in the freezer.

Morning all........................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Its another horrid day, it pelted with rain a few minutes ago, suppose I should be thankful it was not snow!!! Its forecast for later in the week. Did not sleep too well, I had dropped off when OH got up to the loo just after midnight, it was after 3 the last time I looked at the clock.........I need to get some more sleep!!! Will have to try a nap after lunch today.

Off to the Drs with OH's sample in a mo....and also to collect a script for his medication. The bedrooms will have to wait, need to get the sample in,

Spent yesterday afternoon finishing off a wall hanging, just have the sleeves to sew on and a label to do, then it can go.

Will just about make it to the weekend without spending anything unless something gores drastically wrong, so need to sort out a menu list and shopping list,

Snow have i missed something:eek:. Mind you it was blooming freezing in the playground this morning, i hade my new HM slouchy beret and new HM ruffle scarf - Got a few oooh thats lovely's:T:D, Today i am making gloves;).

Guess what i found my bracelet :T:T:j:j Left early for school ready to ask secretary if it made been handed in, but when i opened DS's buggy it was in there PHEW:D

Tea tonight LO roast pork something. WM,TD, BM all on. Kitchen cleaned, just the rest of the house to go .

Back to work today after my op on the 11th as am more than well enough. All fine and dandy - until I got to work. As my GP wrote my sick note on the 'worst case scenario' until the 30th in case I needed it, I got rapidly booted out of work as not allowed on site as officially 'sick'! While I'm waiting for the doc to change the note at 11 am so I can go back in, I'm enjoying a nice cup of tea, at home, paid for by the company!

While I appreciate there are probably insurance implications if I drop down dead, a single word of appreciation for going back when I was ready, and not maximising my time of sick would have been nice!!
