Really wanted one of the TVs but all I got was the Xbox, Lego and a Wii. Rubbish. I reckon my best bet now is to sell it on Ebay and put the difference towards a Toshiba 40" TV from Amazon.

More than most, you got some real bargains- you should be more grateful :-)
  • I got Twin Peaks and the SD card so I'm happy, I did 'win' a few other bits - they were things I wanted but before I paid I checked out other websites and could beat the prices elsewhere, I do agree with some people that if we saw the prices prior to clicking it would leave the 'unwanted' items for someone else to buy. BUT all in all, it's been fun although I think a few people needed to remind themselves that it's only a bargain if you need it, impulse buying can be an expensive hobby and some of the items were a bit rubbish! ;-)

There were also some very rude people on here with no manners at all. I am glad that I do not know them in the real world. What goes around, comes around.

Most of the items I got were presents, or something I wanted or needed.

However, now I've checked with friends some of the items I bought are going to be surplus to requirements because they already have them, or I've found something else that would suit them better.

Instead of going to the hassle of returning them, I'm going to donate them to fundraising auctions on some dog rescue forums to raise money to stop dogs being put to sleep this Christmas as rescues are full with the current recession and thousands of dogs are being put to sleep on an hourly basis.

Maybe if people have impulse bought some items they don't really need - consider if your favourite charity might have more use for it this Christmas?

Are you for real?? How incredibly ungrateful you are. I feel very lucky to have won a wii. I was trying again for one last night for friends who were desperate to get one.

I thought it was a great week and am really happing with what I won. Well done Amazon, great idea :T

    I managed to get

Chuggington train set (for grand daughter)
Little Tikes Cosy Coupe (again for grand daughter)
    Scrabble (for..erm..me)
Guinness dart cupboard(to put in spare room for when sons are home on leave)
    Guinness dart board
Pink watch(spoiling my grand daughter it seems)

Had a bike in my basket but couldn't justify spending 70 quid on myself so near christmas.

Been on holiday from work all week, but only really started watching this on the last day. The best bit was reading the Amazon forums-it was hysterical. The conspiracy theories were absolutely wonderful! Need to book the same week off next year-brilliant entertainment.:D
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

I only took part on Monday and yesterday (and was dreaming of it last night!)

    On Monday I got..
    Nigella Books

    Yesterday I got..
    Estee Lauder perfume
    Kitchenaid Mixer
    Puzzlestore
    Pictureka
    Zhu Zhu hamster

All of these were impulse buys, but I'm really happy with them, the perfume is a gift my mum, hamster a stocking filler for DD (and basically want to see what all the fuss is about), pictureka just abit of fun for all the family, puzzlestore for me (i have something similar but its no good, have to keep it flat all the time), then the nigella books and kitchenaid are for myself aswell, always fancied a decent mixer though and was looking at nigella's new book in WHSmith and liked the look of it. So I'm really pleased, all this for £199 :) nice to have a little spree every now and then, especially when its stuff you fancy but wouldnt usually justify spending money on, this sale made it more reasonable. Very happy here :j

Please bear in mind that not everybody is in a position to start donating presents to charity that were intended for others though.

That said, every year I make sure me and my family buy something to donate to one of the local appeals to make sure kids have Xmas presents.
