  • Hi - I'm afraid I'm a bit of a lurker, so have read a lot of this thread on my pone. Congrats to all who managed to get what they wanted.

    Can I ask a favour of anyone who won the Flip - can you tell me if its been dispatched yet? I placed an order on Monday and paid £80 as I knew there was very little chance of me getting one on the lightning deal, and I've been wanting one since my daughter was born. I've just had an email to say I won't be getting it for at least another week, which has made me a bit cross as I suspect they are giving priority to people who won it on black friday. I'd like to ring Customer Service and complain but was hoping for some confirmation that they have sent them to theres first.

    Thank you and sorry its a bit long winded!!

    Well I've really enjoyed the week and I hope they repeat it next year. You've got to admit it's fantastic marketing on their part as some people have done almost all their Xmas shopping at Amazon as a result.

    I think I peaked too soon as I managed to get both £1 cds on day one. I tried hard for all the mega-bargains like the consoles and the tvs but I wasn't successful. Overall I'm happy with what I did manage to get:
    Take that cd;
    Susan Boyle cd;
    Guylian chocs;
    Sweetheart bath bomb set;
    Kipling bag;
    Canon powershot camera with free case;
    Zhu Zhu hamster;
    Raleigh bike;
    Estee Lauder perfume;
    Burberry perfume;
    Bosch hedgecutter;
    Braun toothbrush;
    Kahuna watch.

    That's quite a list although I did redeem as many Amazon vouchers as I could from all the survey sites so that paid for a good chunk of it.

    Now what was it I used to do with my life before this week :p
  • I managed to get
    Shameless DVD's for hubby
    Beatles CD's for my mum
    Mrs Miracles bath bombs for a friend
    Nigella books for Mum (her birthday 30th Dec)
    Razor scooter for DS1
    Zhu Zhu Hamster for DS1 ( DS2 already has one put away from toysrus)

    So approx £90 spent I think.

    I have had a few things in my basket I never checked out as wasn't sure I needed them, could have given them as gifts, but giving someone a £40 gift that usually only gets £20 spent on them isn't moneysaving :) None of these were the really high demand items, they were DVD's and software, and the colour changing light etc. And some things went back purely cos they were only reduced by about £2!

    Was trying for an Xbox for DH as he has the older version so cannot get kinect for it, but like so many of you I was unlucky. I also wanted the Lego for the 3 kids to share, but EVERY time it was on, it was my shift at work.. booo!!
    All my son ever seems to play with is Lego, it is his constant companion, he carries his creations round with him and hates them being touched, he is autistic though so maybe related:cool:

    Well done to all who got the Wii's, Xbox and the TV :)

  • Did anyone have any issues with amazons site saying that you where waiting in a queue for the whole hour or so the countdown started?

    Then it would just expire?

    Yes, came with many people trying to buy a small number of the same item. As a rule, if you opened up a new tab/window, you'd see if the item was still for sale or sold out. It was usually sold out.
