Ah see, anyone can have the title Laird, as it is a novelty title and can't be used on any official documentation.

Thus there can be many Lairds of John O'Groats.

This man displays himself to be an even bigger fool than we first thought.

Has he returned the camera "in the condition in which it was sent out", ie he's not damaged it further due to his meddlings?

To be honest, I'm just glad to get it back in one piece and will try selling it again at a later date.

It's a setting in the vBulletin boards.
It can be disabled by the supermods, but obviously they want active it for some reason. (other forums have automerge double posts which would be bloody useful on here!)

You can get round it though...
