DD and I have, by mutual consent, cancelled our walk to the market. It's too freaking cold! I shall drive down to Asda a little later I think. Instead, in an attempt to keep warm so I don't have to have the heating up high, I am in the process of bottoming out the utility area. It certainly needs it! Just having a quick half time cuppa...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Good afternoon

We've had even more snow *grump* but anyway DS1 away with his group for a few hours so popped to B&Q to get some rock salt and they had wellies
they had none in the sizes I needed in shoe shops so that's sorted now. Really cold now after us me and a neighbour been out clearing neighbours paths and salting them.
Managed a washer load, drier load and not much else so once I've defrosted going to do an hour of housework then go to get DS1
Hope you're having a good day xOne day I might be more organised...........

3 dozen buns made and bm on, i hoping it actually makes bread this time instead of a flat brick. :rotfl: Mind you the flour was 6 months out of date so that might have had something to do with it.

Now gonna go and have a hoke through Rhys's clothes and make a list of what he needs.
Toots glad to hear you had a lie in bet you do feel better for it. I think i'm gonna get must houseworky things done first then start the painting, don't you worry hubby will be put to work. :rotfl:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
I've done very little today so far. Made breakfast, cuddled DD who's not feeling very well so is very clingy & watched TV with her. She's trying to knit me a scarf and its gone wrong about 20 rows in and I couldn't salvage it so I've just unravelled it (with her permission) and I'm re-knitting until its about the same length as it was. I could be here a while.
Todays plan:
- washing up
- laundry load (towels which I forgot about yesterday)
- lists of what needs doing & when
- Ironing
- Quick dust through (not too perfect as I'll still be sanding but black things are looking white
Plus DD has written Clean Me on the TV :rotfl:)
- knitting of hat & scarf
- Vacuum through & scrub kitchen floor then put rug down.
- IF I get time I'll start washing down paintwork ready to paint tomorrow.
Right, on with the scarf as DD wants to carry on knitting it while I get on with jobs :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
:hello:Hi ladies!
I had a good day with DD and her friend yesterday, even though I started a cold, and by mid afternoon felt dreadful - and it was so cold there! Flat calm crossing, and yummy lunch, bit of shopping, then home. I had a cup of tea, and was in bed by nine! I woke up late this morning, and feel better - although still full of cold.
I'll do a bit of pathetic flying later, just unavoidable stuff, but the rest can wait.
:bdaycake:Happy birthday grateful!!:bdaycake:
Hi soappie! Really good to see you back. Sending special flylady 'money is coming my way' vibes to you.
aj - hugs.
:snow_laug Need some Christmas present help! My brother is getting SIL a sewing machine for Christmas, and I'd like to buy her a home sewing project book of some kind. She enjoys crafty things, but hasn't had a sewing machine before. Any suggestions?
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Serena - what about a subscription to a magazine (maybe through quidco)?

Valli must agree with you with regards to Peter Kay, not laughed so much in a long time. I think it's because most of his humour is about real life
Got a bit done, DW emptied, another washer load out of DS1s bed (he drives me mad!) and a few other bits. I've got a stonking headache so stopped for a bit. Hope I'm not coming down with a bug. Arguing with DP about him taking my car to work, he feels he's best taking it but I think it's best leaving it with me incase he gets stuck somewhere in the taxi! I think I will be collecting DS1 then an early night if this headache sticks, off to take some parrots and refill the DWOne day I might be more organised...........
