Morning all
Hope we are all ok on such a cold morning.
I've a huge list to get on with so off to the shower and then to make a start. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
We had some snow from late yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours, not that deep but enough to freak me out (it doesn't take much). It's still lying but I've put my rubber/spike things over my gardening trainers and I felt quite safe walking the dog. Not elegant, but neither is falling over!
Washing draped round indoors, trying not to have the heating on too much but just having a little blast now and then.
DH working this morning (so probably sleeping this afternoon).
Hope everyone's OK.0 -
Bits and pieces done here this morning, kids been down the hill on the sleigh (sp) it was so funny to watch.
Yes i stayed in the heat. :rotfl:
Big box of sticks brought in just need some turf in and that will be the fire sorted for tonight.
Need to go through DD's clothes and ebay anything that is too small, already have 3 bin bags of stuff so i think i'll be kept busy tonight. Gonna go and make some buns now to warm up the kitchen, then get lunch on.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
We're back! I'm covered in dog hair already. He's settling down really well so that's good.

Peter Kay was FABULOUS
and, wouldn't you know it - in the Arena, in Sheffield, with people from all over South Yorkshire and Derbyshire and further afield my mum knew the woman in front of her...in fact she is the wife of one of the sailors who got trapped in a nuclear sub (was it earlier this year?).
Not seeing the LSB this weekend, due to the weather, which is sensible but...*sigh*
Anyway I have my memories of Peter...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Happy Birthday Grateful :bdaycake: (How come you all know when its peoples birthdays? is there a page or link to them all?)
YAY the awful editing and referencing and fiddling with the assignment is all done, and I got it within the word limit. It is now printed and with my mum for a read through and check over.:j I made myself sit down at 9am and not move until I had finished.
I have also swept the kitchen and bathroom out and hoovered thru' the rest of the rooms. It never ceases to amaze me just how much better the place looks just by having nice clean floors. The mopping has not been done yet but I am content with what I have done.:D
The snow here is melting (Hurrah) although the roads are still treacherous the post man just slid straight past my drive and had to reverse back :rotfl::rotfl:we do not get salted here. In fact earlier this year in all that really bad snow we had the gritter through once, I couldn't get to work for three days!!
Am still in a lot of pain so have had to take another pain killer. Waited until after assignment was done as a muffled head is not much help. Going to have some lunch and then retire to my bed for a bit:o.
Last night was one of those sleep a bit, wake a bit, read a bit, just about to sleep a bit, get up for a wee, sleep a bit kinda nights... whenever I take the strong pain killers I seem to suffer like that.
Ooooh my mum made her Christmas puddings yesterday, and as is normal tradition her and my dad had one for their tea last night just to check it :rotfl:. She has brought me some over which is enough for two portions and it smells divine and the taste.. wow  even cold it is so good. She is making some more next week so we won't run out :rotfl:
Still, time for ham, lettuce and mayo on a granary roll. Will save the pudding for tea with some ice cream after pork stew (from the freezer) so I can have a quick easy but yummy tea and watch Merlin.

Morning all
oooooooooooooooooooooh we have snow about 2 inches and its a very cold frosty day at the moment - something like minus 6!!!
pigpen OH's Mum's church and vicar sound like the right place - the vicar sounds like he would welcome LO and if she is going to go there when visiting IMHO it would be better than being baptised grudgingly by the vicar near you - he def needs reporting - LO should be welcomed openly - it is the responsibility of the congregation too to welcome her and look out for her so my vote is with Stockport!
welcome to the thread lindseykim13 I will send you a pm in a mo - first of all stop fretting honey- if you follow the lists for a few weeks you will begin to get things under control and can get better routines in place - baby steps - little and often works far better than mad purges! stick with us and we will try to help you!
