    Right!

In an attrempt to focus myself I switched the PC off.

I have cleaned DSs bedroom - as it's the room next to the bethroom it has been a dumping ground this week - he even had the new heated towel rail, some plasterboard, the toilet brush and bathroom bin and there and not a murmur of complaint (probably didn't notice among all his stuff :rotfl:) so I have 'bottomed' it - apart from anything else he's carp at cleaning.

I appear to have tinnitus in one ear, possibly due to cataarh; hoping it's not the HRT *crosses fingers*

Have pegged some bedding on the line, having tumbled 3 lots; it's bright and sunny here.
As well as DS's room I have vacuumed landing, wiped down my new tiles - as they have been grouted now they look good. They were wiped yesterday but I think they'll need another wipe sometime soon. Have emptied green bin and removed plastic stuff from there which is bagged up in the black bin now. Have also put rest of stuff for bathroom fit either in there or on the landing.

I have also ordered through Quidco, a timer switch as my other one, which I plug a lamp into to fool thieves and vagabonds there's someone in, has broken. £7.99 from Curry's - so that's a use for my £5 voucher! I have it reserved for in store pick up!

AJMoney -hope your Fil is ok - and they won't KNOW you're not his DiL if you deon't tell them ;)

He has a wind up gramophone so it is to store his 78s. I had a look online yesterday but they either seem flimsy or expensive. At the moment we don't really have enough storage but I would like to keep near the gramophone, once the mechanism has been fixed we can play them then. I haven't really got a budget as I didn't know how expensive they were. At the moment they are cluttering the bed and COD in the ROD and I can't do much in there until I can move them away. I am going to pop into town and have a look at plastic boxes, once they are in position they won't be moved so it won't matter about weight for now.

You need to think about storing 78's in smaller quantities and in something to keep them upright due to their very fragile nature: those old record players that looked like furniture had solid dividers that went the full width of the cabinet for that purpose.

  • Morning, OH has been paid :j wasn't the full amount but the erst should be in on Monday. It's a weight off my mind at least...until next month.

So with that in mind I doubled up my clubcard vouchers and got the boys c-word pressents. Just some stocking-y bits to get for them now, and they will be useful things like socks and pants! Have also S&S's living room, and off to pick DS1 from school now.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. Pigpen, I have ordered 123 magic from the library and a nuby nibbler from amazon! Thank you x
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

My room has had a thorough clean :) I just need to change the sheets and fill the log basket, for it to be a cosy haven for when DH gets home

Going to have some lunch now, then it's Operation Windows - anyone joining me :rotfl:

    Afternoon all

I've made a cottage pie for dinner (must put the oven on in 5 minutes) and done all the washing up and clearing away and S&Sd the kitchen. Polished in the living room and the computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Not enough normal washing for a load today so I've done the cats blankets. They are out on the line, they were drying but the sun has gone in now. At least they'll smell fresh.

Getting cold now so I should get up and move about a bit. Hope everyone's OK.
  • Just realised it's afternoon and I have done fluff all, apart from waste time on the 'puter - oh, and taken in a package - early xmas present (took it out of the padded bag and the wrapping paper is torn - trying very hard not to see what it is)

Really need to go and do something.

Well, The doc reckons baby is just lazy lol.. she has normal lens responses etc so CAN see.. to what evel we cannot tell for a few more months.. but I am to take her back in 4 weeks and they will have another look at her as she isn't reaching for stuff or interested in things.. but doc reckons it i just that she either cannot be bothered or is developing a bit late. She has an 'insignificant' tongue-tie... which may or may not correct and may or may not affect speech.. which was not particularly helpful so I'll get a second opinion on that one ;) I have to go back next week.. was told no contraception.. due to family history.. blah blah.. heard it all before.. just use condoms.. I can't.. oh well.. see you next week!

Missed washing machine repair chap.. guess who hadn't written it down! DOH!! I'll give them a ring later.

My mothers friends died early hours of this morning.. so she is not happy again.

  • kazwookie - Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn here, but can I ask where you are going? You mention allowance weight which indicates you are flying but you might find that the airline don't take to kindly to a frozen turkey in your luggage!! Don't mean to interfere but wouldn't want you to have to bin the turkey at the airport!
