A big thank you to people passing on the information about ovarian cancer. The longer I work, the more people I see who have been diagnosed with it and I'm determined to do my tiny bit to make people more aware. Very much appreciated.
Today is mainly a working day. Feeling tonnes better. Really do think that colds are poo! I'll do some s/s ing ater work and then get back in the swing of things tomorrow.
Hugs to you all xx0 -

*shuffles in hanging head in shame*
I have done not a thing this week, besides half hearted S&Sing and a few loads of washing. My head is well and truly up my bum. We will find out tomorrow if OH is getting paid for this month (his boss said the money would be in today and it's not, so not looking hopeful) and maybe find out today if he got the job he had an interview for last Friday today, which also isn't looking hopeful as he is under qualified and I doubt the company will want to train him. I want to crawl under a rock and come out once Christmas is over. DS1 has turned into a beast, with every other word being "No" yelled at the top of his voice and the baby is teething and generally miserable. Plus they both seem to think 5am is an acceptable playtime.
Sorry for the moan but I thought I better explain my absence! I will get back on the bandwagon next week, once we know for sure what is happening and I don't have it hanging over my head. Hugs/spoons/sticks/assorted vibes to everyone x
I am not on here often enough, as I tend to read a bit, get the motivation to move my self and dash off to my life again.
But I just wanted to say that we all get every crisis under the sun thrown at us, and it always seems to be when we feel we cannot take much more. So HUGE BIG HUGs.
I understand the 5am side of things, dispite being in my late 40's, ok, so I am 8 months off of 50:o, I had the same trouble with all my kids. Still am having it now with my granddaughter who I care for.!
I feel as if it should be bedtime now, never mind another 8 or 9 hours to go!
I hope that some good luck comes to you soon.
I hve had a christmas where I didnt have anything with 3 days to go, and I was lucky enough that my 4 children, then, were accepting of a hot meal, we had chicken dinner, no turkey. We had a cheap Jelly, (6p now in Tesco, is cheaper then we had then!), and we made the crackers out of toilet rolls, and covered them in gift wrap. Didnt go off with a bang, so we all just shouted Bang!
But we had some good fortune as on the christmas eve, very late, we had a knock on the door, and a Rotary club hamper was given to us. We had a box of tins and packets that were very random, but the kids were just as excited.
Anyway, I suppose what I am trying to say, is, don't dread christmas, you don't need the expensive things in life, just each other.
Good luck with your OH finding work, and I hope that the baby's teething settles soon. Speak to the health visitor about what is the best treatment these days, as they seem to all have different ideas!
I was planning to make some curtains for DGD's bedroom for our new house, but I am now, not sure of which of the fabrics I have to use as the main fabric! Typical of me. I have some cheap fabric that cost me £12.74 and although its dress weight, lined I think it would look very pretty in a 3 year olds bedroom, and then I have some other fabric, that set me back £76! for jut 2 metres, and I am now thinking that the idea to trim it with the other fabric may not be right. I cannot afford to waste £76 on fabric that goes wrong! So now, I am stopping. Thinking and will toss a few ideas around before I make a single cut or stitch a single stitch!
On the housework front, I did a huge blitz on Tuesday, we were out all day yesterday, so apart from moving on the washing, I am taking a breather! :rotfl:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Back from the gym. Didn't manage to drop the charity bag off as they were shut, if I go into town later I will try one there or give it another go tomorrow. At least it is in my car now instead of cluttering our bedroom.
Just had my lunch, about to have a cuppa then I will get going again, if only to warm up a bit!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

My brats room took 2.5 hours! Now it is a immaculate, all broken toys binned and big bag for charity! It did my head in but it feels good.....been putting it off for 3 weeks:o Feeling back in control. As i washed the walls though a load of paint came off so think that one wall will have to be repainted. That can wait until New Year now! My house is immaculate, going away for the weekend and its nice to know i'll be coming back to a tidy house. Going to iron later which hopefully won't take much more than an hour. Then pack. Need to nip to Mr T to pick some toys up . Just waiting for a delivery that should be here by 2.10. Need to move some money. Thats about it! Always busy!
HELLY sorry to hear of your troubles. I know what you are going through as when i was with my ex something similiar happened to us and right before x-mas. Things have a funny way of turning out. xxx

Do you know I never asked! how stupid of me. I think it would be if I do it carefully. Its Harlequins Cupcakes, with applique cupcakes and sewn on buttons for the cherries on the top etc. Lovely fabric, but I did originally order it for the small window here in the cottage, but now we re moving she has a bigger window.
I am thinking that you are right, make cushions with the good stuff, and back it with the other to make it go further.
Thanks:TWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Thank you, everyone.
I have a quick question - I had a leak under my sink and my washing powder got wet. Luckily it was only a small amount in the bottom of the box but now it's solid. Do you think it's ok to use still? I don't want to throw it out, obviously. I used some his morning and just chucked a cup of water in the drawer after it to help break it up a bit - but will this wreck my machine in the long run? I think there are probably 10 washes worth left in there. Thanks. So, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
