Well done on sticking to the shopping budget. It sounds like you've done really well with making the changes that you have - and so, you still have Sky. Don't beat yourself up about £21 per month. You're making changes in the right direction and you don't have to sacrifice everything.
Hope you survived the spider!I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -
How lovely to hear from you again - and with such progress! You should be very proud of yourself... I know exactly what you mean about wishing your life away. I have been wishing away the months for too long now but I keep telling myself that once I'm there I can start really living again.
By the way, you cat is very odd. Lovely I'm sure, but very oddMy cat is rendered quite helpless by the power of catnip.
Happy retirement to Mama-kdenty! :jI myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -
I tend to wish my life away too, always waiting for next payday etc to see the figures go down.
Well done on the debt reductions, and hope your mum enjoys her retirement!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
I have'nt been on the boards myself recently so have so much to catch up on, glad to see you are doing well with your debt, its a lovely feeling when you dont use your credit cards and you can see the amount you owe slowly decreasing. I have started to save £10 a month in a savings account, i know i should pay off a debt with it but when i have saved enough i will use it to pay something off. Yesaterday in work i picked up a piece of paper off the floor, it was a cashpoint receipt that had been dropped, the persons o/s balance was £ 8448, i hope to one day have a balance like that.
Good luck to your mum on her retirement.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000
