I would be ranting if my little fella was without food too Fantasia. Fact that I have no bread and my cupboards are bare and I am still faffing with the car hire company (who now say they have no small cars which I am allowed available ERR NOT MY PROBLEM) so cant get to the shops which are 7 miles away`(I cant really walk there because I am already in pain and it is also all main very fast roads once I get out of the village with no pavements.) is beside the point. He and Moo both have food to see them through so I can manage on homemade bread and butter til I can get out luckily but if I had no animal food that wold really make me mad.
Thanks Cheri :A. Even crosser now cos OH says I've not to walk into town, its only 2 miles grrrrrrrr:mad:. Have to wait till he gets home with the Freelander and then go to bigger town via dual carriageway which is actually nearer, but means Bobby waits longer.
Ranting about men now lol.
Why are all problems men based, MENtal health, MENstrual cycle MENOpause. Anyone think of anymore.
I keep telling him the human race began with woMAN and that makes us superior.
Will shut my moaning mouth now. AM an ungrateful swine sometimes i know lol:rotfl:0 -
It hadn't occurred to me about specialised pet food :eek: I know it sounds mad, but if it was really impossible to get out, wouldn't the police help? I know in those situations, they'd have alot else on their plate, but they do stuff like that - it often makes the newspapers....
Here's to all the little ones, however many legs they have ((((((((())))))))))
If I lived in Altnahara (the coldest place in Scotland) they'd airlift it in lol, but its not likely Karma, its not like I cant get any, just have to wait a little while IYSWIM0 -
I guess this is a good reminder to us all to get our storecupboards filled when we can! :rotfl: Hope you get out soon Fantasia - you could always ignore OH and walk to the local town anyway?
(that's what I'd do, but I never was one for doing as I was told
)

I have braved the polar weather to do a mercy mission for some groceries. Managed to get into town, and get back without serious injury, but I doubt we will be going far tomorrow. Round about 4 or 5, might go out again and try my luck at clearing some of the drive way. Or I might just say stuff it and wait till the morning!
I was greeted by alovely hot cup of hot chocolate, all three cats and then I had a hot bath. Lovely. Sadly, now need to get back to work!

Because I couldn't get out to the hire shop to pick up the carpet cleaner I had booked I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the living-room carpet with a pail and brush instead.
Looks fabulous - and cost me 99p for some carpet shampoo instead of £25 plus the bespoke shampoo from the hire shop .........
...... and I might have just worked off one of those hob nobs from this morning :rotfl:
Still snowed in - but we have baked, we have slow cooker on, we've done the shopping for hte old dears around us (including a mortifying collection of "bodice rippers" from the library for the surprisingly spry lady n the corner)
15 minutes blitz and then I'm going to join the kids on the sofa with my knitting I think ................... to cold to think about being in the rest of the house.

No need to apologise lol - I should have hyphenated it as off-SKI
I had'nt noticed the pun till now :rotfl:
Ineeded ski's to brave the pavements - flippin main road is clearer.
And what did i find buzzing its way round the pavements......?:mad:
Oh joy, 1 of those mini tractor shovel thingy's with an irate and very p*ssed off council worker zipping up an down with the shovel bit in mid-air. He was reversing and forwarding outside the co-op much to the disgust of the on-lookers. (Bear in mind there were tracks up and down each side of the street but nothing had been shovelled):mad:.
I was fuming by now withall guns ablazing (Poor guy lol). And looking like a demented bluebell with OH's pom-pommed hat on.
Approaching with caution I dare to ask what the idea was of wasting working time making pretty patterns in the snow when he was obviously supposed to be shovelling and clearing. Ahem.....!!!!!
To which he replied " Dae ye no ken Mrs a feenish at holfpast twa
an av no got time ti be daing that."
Erm yeah right.:mad::eek:
What a shame, pair wee scone.
By this time the on-lookers were clapping and cheering, "Good-on ye Mrs".
Talk about embarrassed lol but at least thatside of the street got scraped beore he went back to his depot. Have duly phoned and reported it. Doubt they'll do much though. Did'n half make me feel better. I better stop my ranting for today i think0 -
Oh dear Fantasia! :rotfl: If he finished at half past 2 why hadn't he gone home?! Bet everyone else in the street loved you
Well done MG for doing all the shopping :T Surprising what you find out about peopleWell done on the carpet scrubbing too - what did you use?
I'm just about to trot downstairs and do a 45 min flylady crisis cleanNot that I'm having a crisis, but having the podcast on in the background gives me the motivation to have a bit of a blitz
And I don't want to do the whole hour long thing (and have no intention of dusting or changing the beds), so 45 mins it is. And then a play in the snow

Just read the bottle "Astonish Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner" 99p from the local bitza shop. Used about 1/3rd bottle for a 6m x 5m room so pretty good value - apart fromthe new knees will now need to have fitted :rotfl::rotfl:
