  • Pops head around door and waves hello to everyone :hello:. Hope everyone is keeping well, I have a month of news to catch up on.

Things are pootling on here at Thrifty Towers. The Black Dog took a really good hold this time and it's only now a month later that I am feeling his grip on my arris start to loosen :D.

Glad to see you back MG and huge congrats to Cheri on moving forward towards her Austrian dream.

So baby steps it is. Love to all, Thriftyxxx

Welcome back Thrifty, missed you. Baby steps indeed and use of a walker when required. Do they still use those types of thing, you know the one with wheels that you put the legs through. Hmmmmm, I still think that is why my brothers wanted to be racing car drivers.
thanks for the congrats. still a way to go and things could still go wrong but I refuse to believe they will.

Good news all around then - eh ladies??:D

My DS1 is due home later afternoon - although he is apparently so tired from all the free activites that he wants a "quiet day" tomorrow.

Finished my inventory for the two letting rooms (Just to see what I actually do need)

    BIG ROOM

Double bed - designer swirly bronze metal (from Ebay £50 yonks ago)
    Decent Matress
    Double Duvet
    Pillows
Duck egg blue duvet cover and pillowcases
Duck Egg Blue Blanket for bottom of the bed
Four "fancy" blue cushions for dressing
    2 dark stained beside cabinets
Room has a walk in closet that can be kitted out for hanging space, another one full of shelves and another full of wire drawers for clothes storage.
Bases for two lampshades in a cream crackle finish
    Blue candles for dressing

    NEED
    Double matress protector
    New Bottom sheets
    2 lampshades for bedside lamps

Lick of paint needed - but got a pot tha will do.

    SMALL ROOM

    Pine bed and decent matress
    Single Duvet and Pillows
    Sky Blue Gingham duvet cover
    Pine bedside cabinet
    Pine Chest of drawers
Room has a cupboard of shelves and a cupboard in the bay window for extra storage.
Got a stained pine wardrobe that I could paint "shabby chic" to fit
    Circular Mirror
    Pale blue lamp.
Found a new roller blind to fit.
Enough fabric to rustle up a pair of curtains.

    NEED
    Single Matress Protector
    New bottom sheets

Lick of blue paint - but got another pot of my £1.00 clearance paint that will do perfectly.

Will have to have a think about whether desks etc can fit in small room and see what I can find around and about.

SO not looking too bad for kitting out the downstairs rooms - total spends should be about £50 all in.

:TThat is Sooooooo much better than I thought it would be. You know how these things grow in your imagination.

Just checked my bank account - and Memoryguys money has appeared - so really have no excuse now to go and build a bedroom for the litlie.

Fantasia! Is the offer of borrowing your hubby to have a look at this still a possibility?

Exciting!!!!! Feels like this is possible at last:j

Nice to see you posting Thrifty, give the dog a good kick off your tail xx

Excellent plan for the rooms MG, it's slowly coming together :)

Crickett - don't miss your BFF too much ;)

Not much to report here, expecting a heart stopping quote for conservatory this morning but it needs to be done. It will however allow us to reclaim back some of the downstairs living space from kids and CMing stuff, would like to be able to shoe horn a small corner in the conservatory for a little bit of crafting space for me ;)

Feeling tired at the mo, sleeping a bit hit and miss, think I might need a top up of iron.......bring on the spatone <retches>

Yep it was :) I did have help from next door, but neither of us has done one before, we are thinking of having a look for a cake decorating course :)

Took it in to mate this morning and the little boy said "can I have a look Auntie Claire?" so I showed him, a huge smile came on his face and he said "oh I like that, you did that for me?"" Awww Bless.
