Of course greenbee, if you want to! :)

However, I'm off for a run in a little while, perhaps we can run together in spirit?? (I'm very slow!) You can even pretend to be talking to me if you like :D

... OK... so this is currently displacement activity. I don't want to do any of the work on my list, don't feel like going for a run on my own, and certainly don't want to do any housework! Can I hibernate again now the sun has gone in please?

Greenbee, I have three words for you - EAT THAT FROG. You can see that I am under the influence (and feel very self righteous because today I finished a paper and went for a run).

Not sure I like you anymore :p

It's cold and miserable outside but I know I need to go for a run. I have peer review on two papers to deal with (I have asked my co-author on one to look at the reviews so we can discuss before I start on them), and another two half written that need to be ready for review by Tuesday  and one that hasn't even been started... I did get one sorted out today and handed over to someone else to work on so it's ready for review on Monday.

Looks like a run, followed by a late night getting to grips with some of this for me. If I DO get it done, I'll be back on schedule with my publishing agenda for the year, so its worth a try!

Think how fabulous you'll feel afterwards greenbee!

I've just been for a run - thought about you on the way round, so now you have to go out and do the same thing :p
  • Evening all. Very proud of myself... have just managed to sort the telly out. I had sound but no picture and it freaked me out. Tried all sorts to fix it, and in the end, I turned it off at the wall and went and made a up of tea. When I came back, I turned it back on again... and the TV worked again. Yeah me! :)

Also proud of myself because I have managed to power through quite a few jobs on the old to do list at work (cinnamon leaf oil...rocks!) and even did the first draft of a financial awareness presentation for the staff of the school I look after. I sent it to one of budget managers for her to have a look at and rip to shreds if she wants to. I have called it "Financial Awareness for the Highly Intelligent".

Hubby is out for the night so I am taking the opportunity it provides me. I am going to do the dishes, put some shopping away, go upstairs to clean the bath and then get in aforementioned bath with some lovely smelly stuff, get into my pj's and get an early night. I can't wait!! :D

See you all in the morning. :D:D:D

Well I went... ran until I couldn't run anymore and then walked home. Which isn't as impressive as it sounds. But having mapped my run, I did manage to do 2.5km before abdominal cramps kicked in (which is about normal). I walked another 1.5km home, by which time they were pretty much gone.

How different is it from "Financial Awareness for Dummies"? :p

Erm... it is merely a slightly more polite title!! :D However, I have learnt that it is best to pander to the monumental egos of lawyers. Tell them they are clever and they will sit and listen to you. Tell them they are not, and they will spend all their time trying to prove how very clever they are. Seriously. Find a lawyer and try it. It never fails!! :D

Go you! I thought I'd be able to report something similar - I thought I'd be finally able to instal Office 2007 cos I've found the product key - couldn't focus on it to see it at first :o then remembered I have a monocular - bought it at an astronomy fair in Kensington, and only ever used it for birdwatching. It was brilliant, but the dratted computer says the key's wrong, so I'll still have to ring Samsung in the morning. Trouble is, I've left it rather late - I can only open it once more before it goes !!!!!! and disappears up the chimney, I think :o silly me :rotfl:

My lovely neighbour just brought me in the "last" of last years vegetables from his other garden.

Got onions, carrots and parsnips - so that my meals sorted for a few days with our resorting to the shops. Which is great because all we have got right now is Chard, Kale and Chives

My bedroom is sparkly clean and looking gorgeous - I will have to sleep very still tonight so that I don't make a disturbance:rotfl:
