Hopefully, you'll find that in a month or so, you won't even notice the £50, and if it's too much, just change your DD again0

I'm currently using £1.20 per day in electric - haven't bothered reading the gas 'cos we use barely any as we only have it for cooking. In electric though that means I'm using well below what I pay in a month which hopefully means that plan A is working and I should find myself in credit ready for the winter.
I'm slightly alarmed. I have nearly everything that needs to go in the car boot packed in now, and there is room to spare. This is unheard of. So that's just going to add more hassle as pipe and drain will have to be moved first before any conservatory is built. Not sure how that will affect the price but ho hum needs must. On a positive note though at least I get to have the rain water for my veggie plot
With regards to OP club.......I am actually embarrassed I never thought about doing it sooner. Honestly it just never occured to me
Hun, we spent the first five years we had a mortgage talking about overpaying - BUT NOT DOING IT! Arrrghhh! Obviously now we are kicking ourselves as starting sooner would have made a huge difference.
Top an extent though the same is true of the whole MSE thing - it used to be that whilst we weren't in major debt, we thought nothing of a loan here and the overdraft was just there to be dipped into at the end of the month. Now if I go even a few pennies OD I'm foaming at the mouth!
Oh - beware - overpaying the mortgage leads to an unhealthy inclination to get very excited and jump about a lot in glee when the mortgage statement arrives. Under NO circumstances ever let friends and family know this as they will, without question, all think you are utterly barmy!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

One's not home yet, and I don't have the others! The cat would be extremley unimpressed by us considering taking her I think - she prefers to stay here and be thoroughly spoilt by her grannie!
I can only think that, after the last five years of doing this once a year, we are actually just very good at packing stuff now! (I'm still going to check the lists again though!)

Oh, is that a bad thing to do. Whoops!
I am going to be OD this monthHave £10 left, no food, no cat food, no petrol and no bus ticket. 7 days til payday - will have to keep damage as low as possible, otherwise next month will start off just as badly as ths one ends.
It's not due to outrageous frivolity, usually I am in control - but I had to pay my builder extra (for an extra job) and I refused to dip into my ISA....0 -

I hate having the heating on - makes my skin horrible (and my wallet empty!)0 -
TMIF - you need to think about what the OD will cost you in comparison to some short term lost interest on the ISA though? Might be worth borrowing from that pot for the short term?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
