If you have enough space for the three of you to do "family" then really that sounds like a good idea MG.

I wish I had a spare room to rent out :)

Three good doubles - two have two-seater sofas in them. One large classroom/ office - so plenty of space upstairs.

why do you need carpet? horrible stuff :p do you have floorboards you could paint, and then maybe make some rag rugs for warmth? This is make do and mend remember...

Unfortunately it's chipboard flooring upstairs that has been lifted and relaid several times for wiring and central heating jobs - so it really is beyond hope (and not too safe for little toes)

Wonder if I can find somethig on ebay??

Oh!! Memoryguy says "Yes" - money will be in my account in the morning. His condition - that I have to go and do this NOW!!!

  • What about a remnant at Capret Right or such like. I got a bit 4m x 6m for about £70 - and that's a huge piece of really quite good quality wool, woven backed carpet.

Actually - this looks not too bad. Would need to get underlay and gripper of course - and a fitter, so maybe I need to save up a bit more LOL

Fab progress there MG and some excellent motivation! :T

I'm still slightly alarmed about the extra space but having been through my lists about a squillion times I can't find anything missing, so hopefully it's just my incredibly efficient packing methods! :D

I take it you have enough furniture to furnish the rooms you want to let? Presumably they need beds, bedside tables, wardrobes, chests of drawers and possibly desks if you're letting to students.

... OK... so this is currently displacement activity. I don't want to do any of the work on my list, don't feel like going for a run on my own, and certainly don't want to do any housework! Can I hibernate again now the sun has gone in please?
