Doing well so far on the Ultimate Grocery Challenge - but there is one item in my storecupboard that I am a little challenged by.

I have a 5 kg tin of broad beans - anyone got some interesting recipes that could use them up?

I'm guessing that once opened any extras could be frozen - so not quite the "rubber cauliflower" of last summer, where I think we got ten meals out of one cauli.

What do you suggest we should be eating?

    MG

Not particularly broadbean MG but loads of recipes in here, and meal plans and stuff

Positive vibes for Crickett and FW! ~~~~~~~~

Mmm, I love broad beans :D At the minute I'm making a very simple kind of dip/mash thing - squash a tin of broad beans with a fork, add a little salt, a few chopped mushrooms, and some coriander (if you have it), and eat with oatcakes/toast/pasta/bread/anything :D Probably not very OS, as one tin usually only lasts us one lunch :rotfl: But blithering tasty, and very quick! (I'm sure there's plenty more you can do with them though :j :j)
