Argh!! I need positive vibes please.
My great aunt died at the weekend. She was 95, had dementia and had more than her fair share of tragedy to cope with in her life. Due to some stupid family feud, my side of the family haven't talked to that side of the family for donkey's years. My Dad has issued orders that someone from our side of the family needs to attend the funeral to let bygones be bygones. He can't go due to a hospital appointment, sister can't go due to "work committments" so its down to me. I live in Nottinghamshire, and I need to be in Bournemouth for the Requiem Mass at 9am tomorrow morning...oh, and they want me to sing as well!! Argh!!!! I don't mind going... but geez. I am one stressed bunny rabbit.
Hubby is going to try and get time off work as well. My boss has been lovely and I am taking half day today and all of tomorrow. So, if you wouldn't mind Matrix, I need TONNES of positive vibes for calm, control and enough energy to get me there and back again in one piece. Thanks. Sending a truck load of positive vibes for you Crickett. Sorry to hear about your Great Aunt xxx
Not been posting much last few days as I've been just really busy, Mothers Day, making cards and the usual chasing round the kids.
Massively behind on housework so that is the main aim today. Dough being made in BM, got a chicken to roast and some spuds that need using up so will be making a batch of roast spuds to freeze for quick meals whilst using the oven to cook the chicken
It's blowing a hoolie here, looks like it's going to pour down any minute, seems like Spring isn't quite ready to stay for the main event yet
Lots of positive vibes to you all, have a great day.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -

......- I'm sure FW could host an entire seminar on that - LOL
I have the feeling I am going to like this guy; and that I would love to meet him. MrF, if you are reading, it is not what you think....
As to a seminar - worth a thought and will need some help from my friends (you realise I mean the Matrix). Could help many people and all could save a lot in therapy...
Now, I really have to pack - cannot be delayed any longer.

Thinking of you Crickett.

Hello everyone from Kampala. It is my second study trip of 2 months. Even if it's not the final trip for me, it's probably the final trip of this kind of size. So far I am resisting a wobble as I am tired and much has changed in the guest house that was such a haven for me the last time. Some of it is good, and even the bits that aren't good for me are good for other people. So there is nothing to complain about! But sometimes it is the fact of things being different from your expectations that is the off-putting part.
Love to all

Very behind here - still on April 1st and catching up - but just wanted to say that yes, I do 'odd' things too, and yes I still write letters and cards, I even combine those two things and am considered very odd because I still send lots of postcards when I go away! But I love to receive things in the post as well. Unfortunately it takes me a long time to write letters by hand because I'm such a chatterbox, so I usually stick to cards and postcards otherwise I never get to the end and then they never get posted! Set myself the goal of writing to everyone this spring and am not doing too badly.
As for work colleagues thinking you are odd Crickett, the others are right, your colleagues are just plain rude and are trying to 'fit in' in a very childish way by picking on the person who is different (like children do at primary school). I've had lots of this in the past for wearing unusual clothes, riding a motorbike, making my own clothes, not owning a TV, living on a boat, being a keen gardener etc etc, you name it, but I didn't care, they were not my friends, just people I worked with, and work was just something I did to pay for the more interesting things in my life.
Will post more later when I've caught up with the other goings-on - have a good day everyone!0 -
Positive thought for Crickett.
