Its a really cool site - makes me dream of endless hours to craft at will.

In the meantime back in the real world - I set aside an hour in the evenings to do something crafty - just because it makes me feel good.

One of the old dears I shop for in the winter is having a clear out - prior to her daughter doing a spring clean and they have dropped off a bin bag full of duvet covers and wool (proper stuff with sheepie stuff in it). So I have plenty of stuff to play with now.

Off to finish some cleaning now the kids are fed, then I might take the fabrics out and have a good look.

PS Gulp!!! Just realised our Ultimate Grocery CHallenge begins tomorrow - maybe I should have thought this through a bit better and got the extras in.:o

  • Today has been one of those days where I get sweet fanny adams done at work (because the work i have to do is icky and I am avoiding it :o - i know my faults!) but add loads of sites to my "important websites" lists. I have done some very fruitful google searches and have got thoroughly over excited about all kinds of crafts and thrifty living things. :D I have had a marvellous time, though I do feel slightly guilty for doing it on work time. But only slightly. ;)

I need a time warp device. Or some motivation. Or both. :p

Was so inspired by that site I've started cleaning my kitchen prior to decorating as money allows! I think that may be a bit sad:rotfl:

I have FAR too many "Favourites" on my browser :o Thing is they all have something I "might" need, either actual info, inspiration or as a reminder of where I can/could buy something worthwhile from.
I suppose at least this sort of clutter doesn't take up any space. Not in the house at any rate ;)

Bitsy (and anyone else with too many favourites :)) I use http://www.pearltrees.com to arrange favourite/ useful websites - love the interface on the site and it's a lot easier to find something than trawling through a long favourites list. It suggests other sites that you might be interested in too.. so you get even more favourites :D

Well bitsy my lovely... you introduced me to two of them!! The first was the make it and mend it site... then there was the abakhan site, which got me thinking of crochet, which led me to http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php and then when I got overwhelmed with that, hand weaving and looms popped into my head which sent me to http://www.thehandweavingcompany.co.uk/online_shop.html and http://www.ehow.co.uk/

Guess what I am going to be asking hubby for when my birthday rolls around! :D
