Totally agree, I am humbled too.

Shaving for armpits and legs for me, eyebrows are tweezered :)

A few years ago, my friend was training to be a beautician, and she convinced me I should have my armpits waxed.....half an hour later my armpits still had hair, and were bleeding
We went clubbing that night, and I was doing the "funky chicken" impression all night :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have never let her forget either :rotfl:
I've had my armpits waxed for years (along with everything except eyebrows, which are plucked as I don't like them overdone) and it doesn't hurt. Best advice I can give is to find an older more experienced therapist rather than someone fresh out of college, unless you're really used to it :D

Poor men - I don't suppose anecdotes about shaving are half as much fun
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
  • Oooh my - just caught up on last 4 pages - am weeping into my red wine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Tell you what guys the old pelvic floors are still going strong tho' :T :T:T.

Shaving under arms and legs all the way; tweezers for eyebrows. Once had a leg wax 25 years ago - looked like a defrosted chicken for days :rotfl:. Could never do a bikini wax - ooohhhh imagine the itching when it grew back .

Same as Souk - taken the pill for ever - sometimes very erratically as well accompanied by a lot of effin' and jeffin'

Can't compete with TMIF breaking an ankle but when pregnant with dd, I agreed to letting a student nurse take my blood (normally I'm as cool as anything with this). Well she faffed and f*rted around and caused the vein to balloon up. I never faint but cue black spots before the eyes; tunnel vision and the room starting to tilt.

What did she do but try to push my head between my knees - well.... it just would not go possibly because there was this enormous bump in the way :rotfl::rotfl:

God bless the young doctor who got me flat on my back with my legs up in the air :D:rotfl::D

See that implants are on the no list too. However the injections ARE in your butt and every 12 weeks.

    LOL at the thread today

Infertile here just regret all the years I was on the pill what a waste no explanation but after 25 years married I would be very surprised if I got pregnant again now :) OH would be horrified

Wax/shave - I used to have my eyebrows waxed but the last couple of times one has been really sore so I have stopped I wish you could still get them plucked but nobody seems to want to know so just do my own but tend to be a bit bushy - elsewhere shave although yesterday I managed to shave just one leg by mistake and couldn't be a****d to sort it out and forgot today - senility setting in me thinks tried epilation once ouchy ouchy

Hi Mentors better set us some challenges if you don't want us to get distracted by wayward conversations :rotfl::rotfl:

Student midwife once called me a liar because she couldn't work out why I was bigger than my due date and couldn't think of anything else to say - obviously hadn't come across a twin pregnancy before :) she was being quizzed by the consultant at the time made me laugh though
  • Good evening! Saskia Catherine Zwannie Boon arrived on Tuesday weighing a petite 7lbs following an emergency C-section!

After 72 hours of labour, and sending her mother into Pregenacy Induced Hypertension (The next stage of pre-eclampsia) wiith my body shutting down in response, the newest member of the Matrix arrived. I've been in the high dependency unit, so unable to up date you all.

I will catch up with you soon

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

DT that's so funny that you CBA to do the other leg, I'm cracking up here :)

I like threading for eyebrows (have a fabulous therapist who makes it COMPLETELY pain-free, great for me as I have very sensitive skin), shaving for legs, but am currently cultivating a 'natural tights' look, lol due to laziness!! Well, it is winter.........
  • Well done Winky and hello Saskia!

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
