So thank you one and all for getting me out of my funk :T
Was on the pill for years, knew that I would never be a Mum (but I am a fab Aunty to my sister's kids and friends kids), ended up with a hysterical rectum and now on HRT as the enforced menopause is vile.
Erm...:o A hysterical rectum?!!! ...I'll slope off now... EDIT - ahhhh - takes a while for me to get something!!!
Glad the posts cheered you up!!CCCS DMP:Feb 07

Oooh, congratulations Winky, and welcome to the world Saskia :j :j How lovely :j :j Are you home now then Winky? Hope so! :j :j
*((((((((matymoo)))))))))) hugs for you lass xx
Since we're on the subject of student nurses/doctors, I've got another one to horrify you, but you'll have to come up to the other end of the body (probably a relief! :rotfl:) After my student family planning nurse experience, I had to have a wisdom tooth removed (not related, obviously! :rotfl:).
Anyway, we have a dental teaching hospital here, so that's where I got sent. 'You don't mind, Miss Daffs, do you, if this nice young man has a go at your tooth?' 'No, of course not, nice Mr Dentist, as long as you're keeping an eye on him'....
Anyway - so we had an injection (or four), had a good pull on the tooth, nothing doing, and as time went by, the anaesthetic started to wear off, and I winced every time he pulled, and he stopped pulling immediately. Several more injections, and we repeated the whole thing.
Nine injections, two hours later, HE was nearly crying, and I had to get the real dentist over (goodness knows why neither of us had done this before?!), and he said I couldn't have any more anaesthetic  put his knee against my chest, and ripped tooth out while I held very tightly onto the chair, and poor student dentist looked on all embarrassed :rotfl:
I've refused student nurses/doctors/dentists since then :rotfl: I'm always happy for them to watch, but I reckon between that and the coil I've done my bit for medical research now :rotfl:0 -

No fuss, no faff, no side effects
Anyway, as you were, poor old mentors will have palpitations if the conversation goes off down that route! :rotfl:
LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH Cheery Daff - be careful what you wish for 're firmly lodged back in' , I had an IUD for years and when it came to removing it I thought I was going to be turned inside out :eek:. The only thing the Doctor didn't do was wedge her foot against the table to get more leverage! She was on the point of sending me off to have it removed under anaesthetic when it did come out. Next day my back went into spasm and I still wince about it - never again. Sorry if thats too much info0 -

Sounds as though you had a difficult time, though, Winky. Take things as easily as you can and make sure you have plenty of support.

Sorry, used to have a family member that got all sorts of medical things wrong and this one sorta stuck :rotfl: Glad you worked out what I meant!!!
Her other gem was Hypothermia in the middle of the summer - Turned out to be Hiatus Hernia
Not her, but a family friend used to talk about old timers disease which I think is much nicer than altseimers (sp?)
Right, off to bed, feeling oh so much betterThanks all posters today

 Hello Saskia  and congratulations Winky.
Kittikins - you are full AGAIN!!!!!!
I don't touch eyebrows as they are sparse. Tweezers on lip (few and far between, they have shifted to my cheeks, I use tweezers there too.) Tweezers on chin (OH as agreed to pluck me regularly if I ever end up in a coma :rotfl:, he thinks it would reflect badly on him
).
Epilator everywhere else. I mean EVERYWHERE . A glass of wine before helps. Doesn't hurt on legs really till I reach 'the top' and fine under arms. I also use it on my toes
. Waxing is my preferred choice for 'the top' but I can't usually be bothered heating it up. Depends if I have my winter or summer coat
. If summer then def. wax. And another glass of wine
.
Sorry if TMIA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
