Well done Squizz onthe presentation :)

Pickle - darn it, now if you'd qualified in the early 90s when I was at Uni that way, I'd have been able to take you up on your massages, what a shame, lol.....

Well done Squizz I am pretty sure you were better than "alright" if some peeps thought it was good and interesting.

Well done Squizz - presentations are performances and like any performance get better with practice. I never lost the apprehension though; oh well stage fever has not done anybody any harm.

And presentations should be enjoyed - so keep this in midn for the next one.

Evening all. Sorry to hear the sad news regarding Claire and Scottishlass's friends and family. The loss of a baby is particularly close to my heart as we lost my niece at 6 weeks old. Yes it is cruel.
Bitsy, well done on getting crafting again and enjoying it. Saw your stuff over on FB and thought that you had been busy.

Squizz - well done on the presentation. As FW says, it is a performance and so having a few nerves is good, adrenaline is what get you through to some extent. I actually enjoy presentations much more now. Just see them as a chat with lots of people at once.

MG - sounds like a good weekend there. Glad you had chance to take a step back and re evaluate things.

No news from me, just plodding this week. Like Crickett, I have a massive to do list and a couple of high profile projects on the go at the moment with a fair bit of media interest.

It's awful but I still haven't made my H's valentines card yet and I want to do him something completely different to the other stuff :o Must make the effort to get that made this week and then I have to rack my brains for an idea for a small pressie for him. I really wanted to do the jar thing but not had chance yet, must make more of an effort on that really :o:o

If you dont have chance to do the jar (it took me a while) why not do a "cheque book" of favours? You could make that really well with your crafting skills and you can make is as much fun (tongue in cheek) or as romantic as you like it. You could just do 12 cheques and allow him to cash one in once a month at any time he chooses. Remember though you will have to oblige. You will also be in control to some extent over what he is asking for but he will not necessarily notice that ;)

  • What a good idea Cheri.

You can buy blank cheques commercially and fill them in for your beau to cash when s/he wants.

Hand made ones would be lovely!

Doc has just been in - looks like DS2 has the flu thingie:eek:

And I've been telling my Mum that he's just got the "second weeks sickies" having started with a new group of kids and a brand new group of germs. (All you teachers know exactly what I'm on about)

My little one - who we usually refer to as "Does his own stunts":D Has spent the last 24 hours coughing and spluttering and falling asleep on the sofa - when he is in one place for more than a minute that is a sure sign something is up.

Back is about broken cuddling and holding him - so painkillers for me and Calpol (God Bless Calpol!!!!!) for him tonight.

All you Mums know what I mean when I say I will be holding my baby and watching him all night. Doesn't make him get better any faster - but makes you feel like are doing something.

    Back in the morning ladies

PS I've emailed my contacts for reading thingie in Glasgow - sorry can' remember who asked, but the email is off.

Ahh that's such good advice Cheri, thank you. I will remember that next time.

    Squizz - well done :T

Today I had a meeting with my tutor and we arranged it so that I can build on the work I have done for scary exam deadline rather than having to start again something new. So I am soothed. Sending soothing vibes to everyone.

MG sounds like an awesome weekend, can't wait to see new plans developing.

Was it just me, or was it much brighter this morning? January is over at least :)
