I have only played scrabble on fb once and that was with Bob - it was a while ago and I think she ran rings around me ! Thanks for the offer Bob - maybe some other time ? :o

P.S. The mother-in-law anagram was rather apt eh Bob ! xx

Hope DS gets better soon MG - I can sympathise with him big time.

Back at work this week but still have hardly any voice & have a chest infection. Cough sweeties & anti-biotics are the order of the day.

At least work colleagues are impressed & think I'm a brave person to come back (even though they are all hiding from me at the moment).

So - the 100 day challenge - you'll be impressed

I've lost about 5 lbs thanks to the flu & nails have not been bitten yet - although I did break one so now I have to buy nail file type things....
And I did something nice for someone today - can't remember what at the moment but it was a nice thing

Which brings me to that on my 100 day challenge - I'm actually a nice person but so much of being nice is being just polite to people & I want to take it one step further & go out of my way to do something nice for at least one person a day - like the day I saw an old guy with a walking stick who had dropped his ATM slip & was too unsteady to pick it up (although he did attempt it) & PEOPLE JUST WALKED PASSED HIM :eek::eek:. Picking up his slip was nothing to me but made a difference to him - that's the sort of thing I mean.....

Anyhow - must go now & nurse sore throat with a wee glass of vino -

    Best wishes to all

I think that I have too short an attention span. As today confirmed when I preferred watching the red kites out of my office window instead of reading a research paper and prepping for next weeks presentations.
As someone who writes research papers I can completely understand why watching red kites would be more interesting :p I'd rather watch them than write the things :o

Baba is in his own bed - but I give him an hour until he decamps to mine:D

Now DS1 is complaining of feeling hot

Grabbed a post-it earlier and have created a list of the three most important things I NEED to do tomorrow.

.................. and that's all I'm going to aim for. Well those three and then make a list for the next day I suppose.

Ooops baby crying for Mum - off again

I used to follow a forum called JOIN ME, it was set up by Danny Wallace and the only criteria of joining was that you signed up to the notion that you did a random act of kindness on a Friday. It led to people doing all kinds of lovely things all the time but it starts in one place. That was a lovely thing to do for the old man and you are so right that it costs nothing in either time nor money to be considerate to and of people. Well done.

I am sure that your research papers would be ahem "interesting" to lots of people :rotfl::rotfl: I just wasn't in the mood for the subject I was researching today which led to lots of procrastination.

Just been over the other side and there is a message from Olive Oyl updating us on the K4K. For anybody who can access the matrix please head over as we need some ideas and suggestions for a fundraising initiative to pay shipping costs etc for the kits that have already gone over. Sure we can come up with some ideas. For those who dont want/cant get on over there I have asked olive to update the facebook page.

    Good morning

A bit tired and very sore this morning. I'm glad I cleaned through yesterday, so it's only the dogs hairs hoovering up I need to do today, plus a load of washing. I think the injection I had might be starting to wear off.

A bit of beading planned today I think, I have earrings and a necklace to make up, plus I thought I would design a kits for kids charm bracelet to auction to help with the shipping, does that sound ok to everyone?? I have been over to the other side and mentioned it, so If anyone would like to comment on colours etc I'd be happy.

I was wondering as all the money would be going to the charity, if mse would let me put a picture on here? does anyone know the moderators to ask them?

  • Can you go back to the docs to organise having another. It seems to have worked well while it was active :) Hope the pain wears off - have a relaxing (less active) one if you can :)
