I'm not worrying about it, I just don't like the well I know what to do in future threats, and the "well I've had cards and pressies from all over the place and your only 2 miles down the road!!" I'm beggining to see why my bother moved away now lol.

Oh well best go and meet her and give her my pound of flesh (your right there Birsy) Need to pop some stuff up to my mate too.
Well you will have to do the abject apology bit, but it would be very unfair of her to punish her grandkids for something you did.

Somebody posted this on FB yesterday: I can't rememeber when I laughed as much! :D

The Two ronnies were my fave as a kid :T
Must send this to my H as he has a Blackberry :rotfl:

Claire - If she carries on then I would point out that you've apologised and there isn't anything more you can do to erase the upset. I would also like to point out that by using the grandchildren as emotional blackmail is not only childish it's downright unfair. As Crafty says why should they be penalised.

    Claire,
I hope she doesn't forget the amount of help you give her all year. How many of the people who sent her a card do very little during the rest of the year? Your help and support are worth far more than a birthday card IMHO.

Quite right greyfox and I agree - entirely unfair to punish the grandchildren even if she insists on sending your birthday present a day late every year forevermore! Poor you Claire.

Remember though - apologise, but don't be TOO apologetic - you haven't killed anyone, it was a simple mistake in a busy life, don't let her feel like this is the end of the world and have you grovelling on the floor... xxx

Thanks for the celebrations :D I feel pretty darn rotten this morning actually :rotfl: :rotfl: Like a huge hangover but without the exciting evening beforehand :rotfl: :rotfl: But only 4.5 hours of work to get through :rotfl: Lunch with a friend too :j :j

(oh, and I got paid my first full time wage today :j :j :j so excited about doing the online banking tonight :rotfl: :rotfl:)

Well, back in civilisation – well relatively so – well, anyways I am at home now.:D

So where have I been all weekend? – well I got kidnapped. No seriously!!! :rotfl:
Half past eight on Friday a mentor arrived with my Mum and Dad, gave me 20 minutes to pack and whisked me off to have a weekend “digital detox” – a few days in the highlands with no communication, but loads of thinking time.
Bit curious, but this Mentor is a trusted friend and I knew the kids would be fine so off I went.
Full story on the other side when I get around to writing it up – but some real revelations about where to go from here.
Going to read back some pages to catch up with where you guys are at – and I will go get that link for laptop cable for you Claire.
