Afternoon all. What a difference sunshine can make to the world
Cheery - no more to add to what everybody else says - will go and find some pom poms later and pop over your fence to cheer through the window but will try not to scare the birds
Thanks for the post re the potatoes. I have just ordered some, this is the year I WILL get my garden sorted. Ooooo - 100 day challenge just realised.
Having a very productive weekend here.
Yesterday I managed to move around furniture in 2 bedrooms and declutter as I went along so my office is now a haven. I have moved my desk next to the window so that I can look at rolling hills and red kites rather than the wall. After all just because I am indoors there is no reason why I cant enjoy the scenery.
Today I am having a big spring clean in the kitchen and living room and then the whole house will be sparkling as the bathroom has already been done this morning.
Catch you all later.
Claire - hope that the migraine didnt develop any furtherSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Just a dull ache now thank god - got to the feeling sick stage and took painkillers, the glare on the screen is still bright though.
On a positive note though I have just had a shower and feel much better.
Once Ds2 has finished his game on the xbox we are going to go into the greenhouse and plant a few bitsBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Afternoon everybody - I can feel the positivity from here. Fantastic that you are getting on so well Cheery.
I bought potato planters and seed potatoes from the pound shop, a pound each item (what else?)
On Friday I ordered two paperbacks by John Harrison called Vegetable, Fruit and Herb Growing in Small Spaces and Vegetable Growing month by month, under £8.00 delivered forom Amazon and they arrived yesterday:j. How quick was that?
For a beginner they come highly recommended so am going to be doing much research in the next few days.
And dad got me some cheap plantpots from the florist so all systems go! We will all be looking to get green fingers on the Matrix.
So looking forward to getting this project up and running0 -
There is nothing better than the taste of home grown food. Have done potatoes and other veg for a few years now, wil hopefully do more this year as have a new raised bed to use.0

Well done Cheery, the end is in sight
:j:j:j:j:j
Claire - glad your migraine is feeling a wee bit better x
I love growing my own veg. Unfortunately it's not enough to avoid having to buy it completely but I can't describe the satisfaction of going out to cut broccoli from my own garden
Have made some plans on what I am growing this year, gonna try some onions and some savoy cabbage in addition to the usual lettuce, spring onions, carrots, broccoli, leeks. I bought some proper netting last year and it made such a huge difference to the quality of the crop. Those pesky butterflies might look lovely but their little caterpillars can't half munch a lot
My TADA list is:
Kids beds finally stripped and remade
Cooked chicken and stripped off meat, now in freezer
Put vac round downstairs and up stairs.
Tidied up round the house. Again!
Have a good evening everyone.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
From me too, thanks for the potato link
I think potatoes are on the list of foods that its most beneficial to grow yourself, because of the amount of chemicals used in industrial agriculture ....

I can still get it back for a few suggested changes, and probably will, but it's ready to email to examiner tonight :j :j (once I've written the email saying how I've addressed the changes, that is) :j :j
